Increased rates of mental health disorders and substance use among youth young adults have increased globally, furthering the strain on an already burdened system. Digital solutions been proposed as a potential option for provision timely services youth, with little research exploring professional views about using such innovative tools. In Alberta, Canada, we are evaluating implementation integration digital (dMH) platform into existing service pathways. With mental health concerns on the rise among youth and young adults (age 12–24), increased options include virtual care, apps online tools, self-management tracking digitally-enabled coordination of care. These tools may function as alternatives or adjuncts to face-to-face models Innovative solutions in form digital (dMH) services not only provide support, resources but also decrease wait times waitlists, increase access, empower youth. However, organizational factors impact extent dMH interventions are that accepted, used, sustained clinical settings. This qualitative study explores barriers facilitators surrounding implementation a platform (Innowell), which uses measurement-based care (MBC) track progress outcomes. Data was collected from 154 providers participating 23 focus groups across Alberta, drawing school community settings, specialized services, primary networks. A thematic analysis revealed following: included incompatibility with current systems workflows, lack inter-organizational collaboration, time commitment, perceived sustainability literacy. Providing digital mental health interventions online could expand access to help for young people, but requiring parental consent may be a barrier participation. We therefore need method that enables people <16 years old (ie, presumed competent in the UK) demonstrate Gillick Competence (understanding of purpose, process, potential benefits and harms) self-consent online, anonymous, low-risk studies. To explore whether new assessing participate low-risk, anonymous studies is acceptable both parents. interviewed 15 aged 13-5 12 parents this age group UK. Using qualitative approach, we explored acceptability series multiple-choice questions (MCQs) designed assess understanding specific self-help research study testing self-kindness intervention. The MCQ answers participants gave mostly corresponded with their narrative explanations during interviews. Young thought process was empowering increase while also promoting independence. However, they emphasised importance individual differences different contexts highlighted safeguards place. MCQs were parents, providing preliminary evidence allowing <16s research. Further needed validate effectiveness among diverse range populations contexts.

BACKGROUND The increasing prevalence of mental health disorders among youth underscores the need for accessible and effective interventions. Digital (dMH) platforms like Innowell offer promising solutions by access to care young people. However, understanding perspectives on these is crucial ensuring successful implementation sustained engagement. OBJECTIVE This study aimed explore platform, identifying key factors influencing uptake, engagement, long-term retention. METHODS A qualitative descriptive approach was used examine perspectives. Data were collected through nine focus groups one interview, involving 39 participants aged 15-24 years from urban (59%) rural (41%) communities in Alberta, Canada. Participants recruited clinics community organizations. Thematic analysis conducted transcripts identify that support or hinder engagement with platform. RESULTS emphasized importance privacy, security, personalization building trust 72% reporting clear communication about data protection would increase their likelihood use. Progress tracking features, such as symptom trend visualizations diaries, identified 65% critical sustaining Ease use highlighted, 58% preferring mobile app functionality over web-based interfaces.
