Introduction Harmonica playing mimics pursed-lip breathing and strengthens respiratory muscles. Combined with music therapy, it may improve both pulmonary mental health in chronic obstructive disease (COPD) patients, though its effects are not well understood. This protocol outlines a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating harmonica into rehabilitation (PR) programs. Methods analysis single-center, two-arm RCT will be conducted at tertiary hospital Guangzhou, China. A total 248 adult patients (with clinical diagnosis COPD but without severe comorbidities, significant cognitive impairments, prior experience intervention components) 1:1 ratio either harmonica-integrated PR group (intervention) or standard (control) for 6 months home-based, tele-supervised training. The incorporate sessions addition exercises (breathing physical exercises). Both groups undergo in-hospital training sessions, supplemented by daily home practice under remote supervision staff. primary outcome is lung function (measured FEV 1 %), while secondary outcomes include muscle strength, exercise capacity, fatigue, dyspnea, symptom burden, health, self-efficacy, quality life, social support, adherence, patient satisfaction. Statistical analyses employ mixed-effects models an intention-to-treat approach. Conclusion efficacy harmonica-integrated, home-based program tele-supervision on function, overall health. If effective, could offer novel, affordable, accessible approach management. Trial registration number ClinicalTrials.gov : NCT05995847.

To investigate the association among multidimensional (Digital engagement, DE; Digital devices, DD; and purpose, DP) digital technology use depression in older Chinese, considering social participation as a mediator physical activity level (PAL) moderator. Data on 5,744 participants (aged≥60) were extracted from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study 2020 dataset. Depression was assessed using 10-item Center for Epidemiologic Studies Scale. Logistic regression examined between depression. Mobile health (mHealth) applications have become indispensable in people's daily lives and are now incorporated into a multitude of healthcare services. However, due to inappropriate designs ineffective promotional strategies, the rates uptake continued use mHealth older adults usually low. Given that recent evidence has reported distinct adoption patterns between Chinese non-Chinese populations, aim this scoping review was map relevant on end-user perceptions age-appropriate recommendations for interface design, persuasive features, strategies among adults. All primary studies conducted people aged 60 + years, including quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods research, examining (e.g., motivators, barriers, design) were considered eligible inclusion. BACKGROUND Background Telemedicine services have greatly enhanced healthcare quality and increased access for residents in remote areas through innovative solutions. Despite this progress, low user awareness limited acceptance of these still pose significant challenges. To address issue, study aims to develop a model that identifies factors influencing the adoption telemedicine among middle-aged elderly rural patients with chronic illnesses, drawing from Health Information Technology Adoption Model (HITAM). OBJECTIVE This examines critical impacting willingness diseases embrace using structural equation model. METHODS Methods A multicenter cross-sectional was conducted at five hospitals western China, focusing on diseases.
