ChatGPT in healthcare education: a double-edged sword of trends, challenges, and opportunities

review

to
explore
the
impact
ChatGPT
on

Background
Artificial
Intelligence
(AI)
has
made
a
strong
entrance
into
different
fields
such
as
healthcare,
but
currently,
medical
degree
curricula
are
not
adapted
to
the
changes
that
adopting
these
types

tools
entitles.
It
is
important
understand
future
needs
students
provide
most
comprehensive
education
possible.
Objective
The
aim
this
teaching
improvement
project
describe
knowledge,
attitudes,
and
perspectives
regarding
application
AI
chatbots
with
patients,
also
considering
their
ethical
perceptions.
Methods
Descriptive
cross-sectional
analysis
in
which
participants
were
enrolled
subject
“Preventive
Medicine,
Public
Health
Applied
Statistics”
during
second
semester
2023/24
academic
year,
corresponding
fifth
year
Degree
Medicine
at
University
Barcelona.
invited
complete
specific
questionnaire
anonymously
voluntarily,

could
respond
using
mobile
devices
by
scanning

code

on
classroom
