Plant blindness, recently reframed as 'lack of plant awareness' or 'plant awareness disparity', has gained a lot attention over the past two decades and many researchers have explored causes potential solutions to this issue. The increasing prominence plants within modern sustainability agenda further heightened importance phenomenon, highlighting necessity assessing confronting it properly. Societal Impact Statement Plant awareness disparity is a widespread phenomenon in modern societies. It erroneously implies that plants are not necessary for humans. Understanding what people know and can describe crucial evaluating one of four central aspects plant disparity. Bu araştırmanın amacı Parsley vd. (2022) tarafından geliştirilen ve bitki körlüğünün dikkat, tutum, bilgi göreceli ilgi bileşenlerini ölçmeye yarayan Bitki Farkındalığı Eşitsizlik İndeksinin Türkçeye uyarlanmasıdır. Araştırma bir devlet üniversitesinde uygun örnekleme yoluyla belirlenen 2 farklı örneklem grubuyla (174 kız 76 erkek) (180 70 gerçekleştirilmiştir Verilerin analizinde SPSS AMOS 25 programları kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan orijinal ölçek altı faktör maddeden oluşmaktadır. Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi sonuçlarına göre, toplam varyansın %62.26’sını açıklayan dört belirlenmiştir. faktörlerin her birinin öz değeri 1’in üzerindedir. Ölçeğin güvenirlik çalışması Cronbach Alpha ile yapılmış; ölçeğin iç tutarlık katsayısı .91 olarak bulunmuştur. Ayrıca ölçekte yer alan için sayısı sırasıyla birinci alt .91, ikinci .92, üçüncü .75, dördüncü ise .70 hesaplanmıştır. farkındalığı eşitsizliği indeksi uyum iyiliği indeksine ilişkin incelenen sonuçlara χ2/df oranı 2.36, RMSEA 0.07; GFI=0.85, AGFI=0.79, CFI=0.90, IFI: 0.90, PGFI: 0.6 PNFI: 0.75 iyi kabul edilebilir düzeyde olduğu sonucunda uyarlanan indeksin geçerli güvenilir indeks tespit edilmiştir.
