Data interpretation SPOT-7 satellite imagery was followed by accuracy tests ensure reliable results. Further analyses used Average Nearest Neighbour Standard Deviational Ellipse methods determine the patterns directions change. Findings indicate that fields settlements were primary uses with conversions as most significant shift, exhibiting random pattern (pattern value: 0.982981). The direction loss primarily extended north west, especially toward.

Abstract Many factors drive land use and cover change (LULC) including biophysical socio-economic conditions. Since Ngawi Regency is one of the areas passed by toll road, in this study we selected as area to provide an understanding use/cover dynamics caused economic factors. This aims (1) analyse distribution before after road exists (2) investigate its relationship with population growth. Data on was visually interpreted from satellite imageries (2012 2020). Population data taken regional statistics bureau. LULC detected using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The results show that rice fields dominated (44.43% 42.71% all existing 2012 2020, respectively). A conversion field has been observed covering 45.45 Ha. Although there increase 2015, number gradually decreased 2016 2020. result indicates despite existence it less relation dynamic which other may play role.
