Fat
storage
and
weight
gain
are
dominant
traits
for
hibernating
mammals.
However,
excessive
fat
accumulation
may
cause
liver
damage.
Here,
we
explore
the
lipid
metabolic
processes
of
Himalayan
marmot
(Marmota
himalayana),
a
rodent
species.
We
find
that
unsaturated
fatty
acid
(UFA)
content
in
food
was
consistent
with
large
increase
body
mass
marmots.
Metagenomic
analysis
shows
Firmicutes
Bacterium
CAG:110
plays
synergistic
role
by
synthesizing
UFAs,
which
is
demonstrated
fecal
transplantation
experiments,
indicating
gut
microbiome
promotes
marmots
hibernation.
Microscopic
examination
results
indicate
risk
appears
at
maximum
weight;
however,
function
not
affected.
Upregulations
UFA
catabolism
insulin-like
growth
factor
binding
protein
genes
provide
an
entry
point
avoiding
injury.

Overexpression of wild-type HRAS drives non-alcoholic steatohepatitis to hepatocellular carcinoma in mice

Hepatocellular
carcinoma
(HCC),
a
prevalent
solid
of
significant
concern,
is
an
aggressive
and
fatal
disease
with
increasing
incidence
worldwide
poor
therapeutic
outcomes.
The
etiology
pathological
progression
non-alcoholic
steatohepatitis
(NASH)
-related
HCC
multifactorial
multistage.
However,
no
single
animal
model
can
accurately
mimic
the
full
NASH-related
poses
challenges
in
transition
other
mechanism
studies.
Herein,
novel
conditional
inducible
wild-type
human
HRAS
overexpressed
mouse
(HRAS-HCC
mouse)
was
established
100
%
morbidity
death
rate
about
one
month
under
normal
diet
lifestyle.
Advanced
symptoms
like
ascites,
thrombus,
internal
hemorrhage,
jaundice,
lung
metastasis
first
mimicked
mouse.
In-depth

NASH-

Murine
anti-PD-1
sorafenib
combined
treatment
effectively
prolonged
mice
survival,

model.
We
speculated
that
overexpression
may
initiate
THBS1-COL4A3
axis
to
induce
NASH
severe
fibrosis
developed
into
based
on
Protein–protein
interaction
(PPI)
network
RNA
sequencing
analysis.
Collectively,
our
study
firstly
duplicates
natural
sequential
progressions
murine
very
short
period,
providing
reliable
preclinical
tool
for
therapeutics
evaluation
HCC.

cells
Kupffer
cells.
Although

neuronal

mice

hippocampus.

Abstract
Chronic
liver
injury
induces
cirrhosis
and
facilitates
hepatocarcinogenesis.
However,
the
effects
of
this
condition
on
hepatocyte
proliferation
differentiation
are
unclear.
We
showed
that
rodent
hepatocytes
display
a
ductular
phenotype
when
they
cultured
within
collagenous
matrix.
This
process
involves
transdifferentiation
without
emergence
hepatoblastic
features
is
at
least
partially
reversible.
During
reaction
in
chronic
diseases
with
progressive
fibrosis,
some
hepatocytes,
especially
those
adjacent
to
ectopic
ductules,
demonstrate
transdifferentiation,
but
majority
increased
ductules
originate
from
existing
bile
system
undergoes
extensive
remodeling.
In

most
regenerative
nodules
