Postlarval shrimp frequently face threats from acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND). Although AHPND affects both postlarval and adult shrimp, abiotic biotic factors are distinct between life stages, such as rearing water nutrient levels host stage-dependent microbiota.
