Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a significant global health concern for women, influenced by complex interplay of social, economic, and environmental factors. This article examines cardiovascular risk through the lens exposome, which encompasses all exposures from conception onward, including pollution, diet, chronic stress. Social determinants such as socioeconomic status (SES), education, stress management play crucial roles in shaping women’s health. Lower SES education are associated with greater exposure to adverse living conditions, poor nutrition, limited access healthcare, increasing CVD. Environmental particularly air pollution climate-related changes, further exacerbates promoting oxidative inflammation. Additionally, gender-specific factors, pregnancy menopause, interact heightening vulnerability women risks over their lifetime. Addressing these factors requires comprehensive approach, incorporating public strategies that focus on reducing improving food security, mitigating social inequalities. By addressing cumulative interacting contribute disease, especially more effective prevention can be developed improve long-term outcomes.

Abstract The present comment on Qiu’s work intends to emphasize two points: (1) Cardiovascular prevention must start early due the progressive nature of atherosclerosis. (2) growing evidence that coaching performed by nurses leads effective results. Nurses can intercept young population who be sensitized and educated about prevention.

Pregnancy represents a stress test for every woman's cardiovascular (CV) system, and pre-existing maternal unfavorable cardio-metabolic phenotype can uncover both adverse pregnancy outcomes the subsequent development of disease (CVD) risk factors during after pregnancy. Moreover, cardiac extracardiac environment affect offspring's health through complex mechanism called developmental programming, in which fetal growth be influenced by conditions. This interaction continues later life, as along with lifestyle genetic predisposition, exacerbate accelerate CV CVD childhood adolescence. The aim this narrative review is to summarize latest evidences regarding maternal-fetal dyad its role on primordial, primary secondary prevention.

Patients with heart failure are conventionally stratified into phenotypic groups based on their ejection fraction. The aim of this stratification is to improve disease management a more targeted therapeutic approach. A further subdivision patient gender justified. It recognized that women underrepresented in randomized controlled clinical trials, resulting limited and molecular differentiation between males females. However, many observational studies show the onset, development, course may substantially differ two sexes. According emerging concept precision medicine, investigators should explore mechanisms responsible for onset due sex differences. Indeed, synergistic or opposing effects hormones cardiovascular system underlying have not yet been clarified. Sex hormones, risk factors impact, adaptations be relevant better understanding intrinsic pathophysiological Despite differences, treatment HF similar across whole population, regardless gender. In our review, we describe main differences terms dysfunction, factors, cellular signaling modifications related hormonal pattern.
