Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a genetic disorder marked by numerous cysts in the kidneys, progressively impairing renal function. It classified into autosomal dominant polycystic (ADPKD) and recessive (ARPKD), with ADPKD being more common. Current treatments mainly focus on symptom relief slowing progression, without offering cure. Recent advancements gene editing technologies, such as CRISPR-Cas9, have introduced new therapeutic possibilities for PKD. These approaches include miR-17 antisense oligonucleotides, adenovirus-mediated knockdown, Pkd1 or polycystin -1 C-terminal tail enhancement therapy, 3-UTR binding element which shown potential animal models early clinical trials. Specifically ARPKD, strategies like oligonucleotide therapy targeting c-myc CRISPR/ Cas9 knockdown of P2rx7 promise. Despite facing challenges technological limitations, ethical legal issues, high costs, presents unprecedented hope PKD treatment. Future interdisciplinary collaboration international cooperation are essential developing effective treatment patients.

Introduction Cervical cancer (CC) is a highly prevalent malignancy of the reproductive system. This study aimed to methodically assess function circular RNAs (circRNAs) as possible indicators CC, with specific emphasis on their usefulness in identification, prediction, and correlation clinicopathological elements. Methods A comprehensive literature search was conducted using databases such PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web Science, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). The latest data were extracted May 3 rd , 2024. diagnostic potential circRNA expression evaluated range metrics including sensitivity, specificity, area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). importance circRNAs further terms clinical relevance, pathological features, prognostic value pooled odds ratios (ORs) hazard (HRs). Results meta-analysis included 27 studies, which categorised based applications (n=3), correlations (n=15), evaluations (n=23). Elevated levels oncogenic significantly associated poor indicators, tumour size (odds ratio [OR] = 0.425, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.267–0.676), International Federation Gynaecology Obstetrics (FIGO) stage (OR 0.315, CI: 0.224–0.443), lymph node metastasis 2.975, 1.816–4.872). upregulation also identified predictor worse survival outcomes, (HR) 2.13 (95% 1.73–2.62, P < 0.001). downregulation tumour-suppressor properties similarly parameters, 0.310, 0.102–0.941), FIGO 0.231, 0.101–0.527), 2.430, 1.156–5.110), indicative worsened prognosis (HR 2.20, 1.03–4.70, 0.042). In value, (AUC) calculated be 0.85, 0.83, 0.91, respectively. Conclusion results our indicate that have serve promising biomarkers for CC diagnosis, prognosis, clinicopathology. Lung cancer is a highly prevalent and deadly disease worldwide, causing over 1.2 million deaths each year. Pingxiao Pian (PXP) tablets, Chinese traditional medicine, have been widely applied in the treatment of lung cancer. However, mechanism underlying therapeutic effects PXP tablets remains undisclosed. A549 human LUAD cell line was utilized for vitro experiments. Transfection miR-29b mimic performed using Lipofectamine 3000. purchased dissolved into PBS drinking water after carefully removing outer coating.
