In today’s interconnected world, effective communication is crucial for personal growth, academic achievement, and professional success. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) widely recognized enhancing language proficiency, yet the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a transition from traditional classrooms to digital learning environments. This shift compelled educators adopt innovative, technology-driven teaching methods. study explores integration of drama-based CLT approach in virtual English classes conducted via Zoom. The platform’s interactive features, such as breakout rooms, foster collaboration engagement, allowing students participate actively communicative exercises. A key advantage this method its ability reduce learners’ anxiety about making mistakes, instructors act facilitators, creating supportive encouraging atmosphere. Drama-based activities help refine pronunciation, stress, intonation while benefiting constructive peer feedback non-intimidating setting. By leveraging tools techniques, bridges gap between conventional education, enriching online experience. findings underscore growing relevance resources modern education enduring effectiveness methodologies classrooms.

The present study elaborates on the process of collaborative scriptwriting for drama and implementation virtual platforms theatrical performances. qualitative design approach was used to provide a detailed explanation how performance about Spread Islam in 16th Century by Ratu Bagus Kuning rehearsed recorded. subject 18 graduate school students who took Appreciation Literature Teaching course Graduate School English Education at state university Indonesia. data obtained from observation, interview, documentation were analyzed utilizing thematic process. result reveals two main findings: it emphasizes innovative video presentation educational drama, also shows communication, cooperation, critical thinking, creativity involved writing scripts performing virtually. highlights script writing, focusing Palembang’s heroic tale Kuning. Using university’s LMS dialogues, research, creative collaboration, prepared performance. They paired up draft scenes, actively applying 21st-century skills, such as thinking creativity. Peer feedback revisions improved quality. Despite continuity issues technical constraints, showed resilience adaptability.
