Soil and water are natural resources that support the life of various creatures on Earth, including humans. The main problem, so far, is both can be easily damaged or degraded by human-induced drivers. threat damage degradation increasing due to rapid human population growth humans’ insatiable daily necessities. Indonesia has had experiences in soil conservation (SWC) programmes for a long time, which good lesson learned future strategy development. This article aims provide an overview benefits implementing SWC biodiversity, hydrology, erosion, microclimate sustainable ecological landscape management. Various vegetative mechanical techniques have been known implemented utilized improve strategies. It expected proper development will sustainability Forthcoming also incorporate local knowledge into their implementation. require coordination between stakeholders, i.e., communities, management authorities, policymakers, scientists, seamless integration varying fields levels governance. findings this study increased adaptation native plants rainfall conditions; infiltration improved hydrological characteristics; SWC, through vegetation techniques, played role lowering temperatures, humidity, reducing intensity levels.

Nginang was chewing the raw green betel leaf combined with areca nut and gambier seeds, it Indonesian people’s habit in ancient times to maintain dental health. Over time, nginang mixture developed into a mouthwash formula make easier acceptable use. Mouthwash is liquid form preparation pleasant taste smell, keep clean mouth. The phytochemical content herbs tannin which phenolic compound. mechanism of action phenolics by inactivated microbial cell adhesion avoid attached host cells surface. purpose this study determine antibacterial activity inhibitory zones diameter herb against Streptococcus mutans bacteria. This type research descriptive quantitative an experimental design. making formulations extract (green leaf, seed, gambier) three formulas concentration ratio leaf: nut: gambir, that were Formula 1(3%:3% :3%), 2 (3%:2%:1%), 3 (3%:1%:2%), quality carried out physical parameters (organoleptic, pH, clarity, viscosity), mutans. results had form, clear browny color, slightly smell like mint extract, pH at 5.4, viscosity value about 0.79. indicated contain very strong category based zone.

Excessive surface runoff is often underestimated concerning flood mitigation. Indeed, flooding has become a recurring disaster in the past 20 years Indonesia. This research aims to determine erosion hazard level and develop conservation plans for dryland agriculture oil palm plantations mitigate runoff, thereby reducing risk of flooding. The data collected includes hydrology, agricultural areas, plantations, topography, which are analyzed based on threats potential. Conservation that can be implemented include Minor Recharge Holes (MRH) dead-end ponds Palm Dead Pond (PDP) plantations. results indicate MRH design, with diameter 1-1.5 m depth m, still exceeding 70%. Meanwhile, PDP size x 7-8 yields below 50%, even during extreme rainfall (220 mm), being only 2%. A change land use, primarily dominated by been significant factor triggering Arui watershed. In addition PDP, five rivers accommodate expected contribute long-term mitigation
