Objective: To investigate the predictive value of certain psychological factors on quality life (QoL) patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) after radiotherapy.Methods: Depressive anxiety symptoms (HADS), illness perceptions (IPQ-R), coping strategies (Brief COPE) QoL (EORTC-QLQ-C30 EORTC-QLQ-H&N35) were assessed in fifty before radiotherapy (T1) 3 months afterwards (T2).Results: Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that depression (HADS-D) at T1 was associated impairment Physical, Role, Social Functioning (P = 0.025, P 0.019 0.019, respectively) T2.Additionally, Behavioral Disengagement strategy most closely lower scores Physical 0.013), Emotional 0.003), Cognitive 0.042) 0.040).Also, regarding IPQ-R dimensions, stronger beliefs about Representations weaker Illness Coherence higher H&N35 sum score T2 0.024 0.032, respectively).Finally, Perceived Control (IPQ-R) 0.011).
