The Students who did not meet the criteria for mastering critical thinking and carry out Project Based Learning in Mathematics courses became passive, generate creativity understand mathematical concepts applied previous material learning process. aim of this research was to identify analyze improvement high-level skills that could be obtained through HOTS (High Order Thingking Skill) questions using method. This descriptive with a qualitative approach it conducted second semester students at Sriwijaya University. Data collection techniques observation, interviews, test others were used solve problem documentation collect process data results. results showed there significant increase acquisition. Application PJBL (Project Model) cycles 1 2, especially knowledge level. on results, two studies increased by 66.66% pre-action 16.66% post-action, increasing 85.3% method Learning. Apart from that, "Very Good" category 66.67% 85.3%. had positive impact outcomes collaborative spirit classroom. Overall, applying improve more effective strengthening solving elementary school teacher education.
