In this study, pathways and mechanisms of action a new type Pleurotus eryngii polysaccharide (PEP) with known structural characteristics probiotic properties in the intestine were investigated. An vitro cell model was used to investigate protective effects complexes formed between PEPs their related products mucin against gut barrier damage. Dextran sulfate sodium salt-induced colitis determine interaction intestinal mucus (IMs) at different consumption times. Finally, effect damage investigated, as mediated by IMs. The result showed that PEP-related improved barrier. exhibited differential functional activities stages. normal mice, interactions IMs characteristics. From transport absorption standpoint, role driving health also clarified study.
