This study scrutinizes the role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in enhancing English for Communication competence among undergraduate students Specific Purposes (ESP) courses, specifically focusing on communication programs Indonesia. It examines students' attitudes, perspectives, and experiences with AI improving skills aims to uncover integration's perceived benefits challenges. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design collected data from thirty-one using a Likert-scale questionnaire followed by semi-structured interviews provide more detailed insights. Findings descriptive statistical analysis indicate that most expressed positive reactions support their competence. Students responded such as personalized learning experiences, real-time feedback, improved interpersonal communication, public speaking, business-related communication. However, concerns were raised regarding AI's reliability, privacy, potential over-reliance AI, limited enhancement creativity critical thinking skills. In classrooms, where integrating technology language is increasingly prioritized, these findings suggest can be valuable resources developing ESP students.
