In view of a constant growth in the human population on Earth, provision necessary amount high-quality food looks challenging. As over 10% crop yields are annually lost due to presence phytopathogens, development novel, eco-friendly methods pest eradication might contribute avoiding nutritional shortages. Here, we propose controlled application cold atmospheric pressure plasma (CAPP) generated form an jet (APPJ), for which conducted multivariate optimization working parameters with use design experiments (DoE) addition response surface methodology (RSM). After estimating optimal operating conditions APPJ, determined inactivation rates caused by 2 min CAPP exposure towards bacterial phytopathogens from three species Dickeya solani, Pectobacterium atrosepticum and carotovorum artificially inoculated plant seeds four species. Summary Five fungal endophytes, Alternaria sp., Aspergillus Chaetomium Rhizopus sp. and Curvularia were isolated from an Egyptian herbaceous plant, Tribulus terrestris , tested for their antibacterial activity against three phytopathogenic bacteria ( Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum, Ralstonia solanacearum, Pseudomonas syringae pv. ). showed the highest activity. This strain was identified morphologically molecularly as cochliodes MS03 (MW898133) based on ITS1-5.8S rRNA-ITS2 genomic region. caused 15 8 mm inhibition zones of P. R. solanacearum respectively. isolate fermented extracted with ethyl acetate. The crude extract C. strong (inhibition zone = 27 mm). Bioassay guided isolation using silica gel column chromatography conducted to bioactive secondary metabolites.
