This paper draws on data from an ongoing qualitative research study the educational experiences and identities of Black transnational women to explore question: “What can be learned about legacies eugenicist thought as we examine stories two German women?” These are represented in vignettes crafted interviews, conversations, memories implications logic lives women. Decried ableist, racist, misogynistic, pseudoscientific project that sought improve “human stock,” objectives eugenics movement early 19th century have been rejected most scholarly fields 21st century. However, narratives centered this show logic, ideologies, discourses remain persistent, insidious parts contemporary discourses. Theoretically methodologically, engages a Transnational Feminist approach (Burkhard, 2019, 2021) attend ways which ideologies narrated reproduced intimate moments everyday life, highlighting continuous need for feminist scholarship consider global, transnational, local lenses knowledge production.
