Background Certain populations are underrepresented in clinical trials, limiting the generalizability of new treatments and their efficacy uptake these populations. Methods Digital were evaluated using 4-phase approach that included: (1) listening characterize lived experiences with COVID-19 trials self-reported by online users, (2) groups explore specific attitudes related research hesitancy engagement, (3) series cocreation workshops build at encouraging participation, (4) controlled intercept assess usability outcome measures co-designed among adults. Results A significantly higher change likelihood participating post exposure observed participants when exposed prototypes mobile app (Δ=0.74 on 10-point scale, P<.01) website (Δ=0.93, compared those Facebook ad (Δ=0.21) but not flyer (Δ=0.58).
