This research investigates the relationship between tourism, urbanization, renewable energy, and carbon (CO2) emissions in 77 countries 2008 2019. Specifically, by applying a quantile regression approach, this study delves into existence of an inverted N-shape curve connection tourism CO2 while also considering roles global economic activities, as indicated flows trade, foreign direct investment (FDI). The findings reveal correlation emissions, indicating decline at initial stage, rise sector matures, finally again CO2. underscores significance adopting energy sources controlling urbanization to mitigate emissions. show that control variables, i.e., GDP, FDI, impact differently. GDP positively significantly affects particularly noticeable lower quartiles. Likewise, FDI with more contribution from higher quartiles than Conversely, trade negatively impacts showing pronounced effect. contributes providing empirical evidence on importance sustainable practices integration, well potential improvement matures.

Global warming, induced by human-generated greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide (CO2), threatens the planet's ecology, economic development, and long-term viability in unparalleled ways. Vietnam's utilization of energy CO2 emanations are on increase as a consequence country's increasing improving agricultural practices. Governments seeking to accomplish an equilibrium between combating climate change sustainable development would benefit from deeper understanding vulnerability. A better trade-off pollution growth is crucial if Vietnam slow rate at which its environment being damaged. So, current study empirically examined connections GDP consumption, technical advancement, output, forest region, emissions Vietnam. This collected annual data 1990 2020 analyzed it using Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares method. Based projection, experiences direct correlation consumption emissions. implies that corresponds corresponding emission into atmosphere. Nevertheless, essential acknowledge this pattern might be alleviated means technological innovations, increased initiatives broaden forested regions. negative exists these variables emissions; more methods, preservation may contribute gradual reduction Therefore, environmental sustainability could achieved through reduced policies advocated article were implemented. Some include renewable sources, encouraging innovations technology, climate-conscious agriculture, careful management.

This study investigates the effect of Sustainable Destination Preference (SDP) on relationship between escapism motivation, affordability perception, and tourist satisfaction at UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Indonesia. A survey was conducted 228 international tourists, analyzed through Confirmatory Factor Analysis Structural Equation Modeling. SDP significantly mediates motivation satisfaction, while perception directly impacts but not SDP. The Sobel test validates SDP's mediating role. findings underscore importance sustainability enhancing experiences, suggesting that tourists value both ethical environmental aspects travel, beyond just cost.

Low-carbon tourism (LCT) has emerged as a pivotal approach to mitigate the environmental impact of tourism, particularly its contribution greenhouse gas emissions. This study develops structural equation model (SEM) investigate factors influencing decision-making in selecting low-carbon destinations. The research integrates key variables including destination characteristics, marketing strategies, and tourist perceptions, grounded Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) consumer behavior theory. Data were collected from 405 tourists visiting Khaoyai National Park, one Thailand’s most popular nature-based destinations, utilizing structured questionnaires robust sampling strategy. Findings reveal significant interrelationships among tourists’ perceptions LCT, which collectively shape processes. Enhanced LCT are mediated by innovative communications sustainable features, emphasizing role eco-friendly practices fostering responsible tourism. underscores importance aligning policy, business education promote travel behaviors. These insights provide practical guidelines for stakeholders advance initiatives while preserving integrity experiences stewardship.

This study probes the complex interplay between tourism development (TDI), economic growth (GDP), and environmental sustainability, focusing on ten most influential nations: China, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, Turkey, Spain, States, Russia, covering time from 1994 to 2023. uses feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS) together with Driscoll–Kraay (DK) panel quantile regression (PaQR) examine as well effects of TDI combined trade openness (TOPE), foreign direct investment (FDI), energy prices (EPS), population density (POPD). All models show that development, indicated by TDI, increase carbon emissions, demonstrating these variables’ adverse impact. Energy prices, openness, lead decreased emissions because factors help promote energy-efficient clean technology. Furthermore, GDP positively influences while excessive negatively impact appeal tourism. The results indicate need for sustainable policies in green infrastructure, aligned SDG 9, foster innovation practices infrastructure. research also supports 13 advocating climate-resilient decouple degradation. By adopting various advanced econometric approaches, this provides strong evidence relationship tourism, macroeconomy, results. It offers fresh insights how achieve climate protection at world’s top tourist destinations.
