Bacterial wilt of tomatoes, caused by Ralstonia solanacearum, is a significant soilborne disease that often causes reductions in the yield tomatoes. Dark septate endophytic fungi (DSE) represent potential biocontrol agents against plant pathogens can also enhance growth. To collect DSE with for biocontrol, fungus Cladophialophora guangxiense HX2 was isolated from rhizosphere soil sugarcane Hengzhou Guangxi Province, China, and novel species identified based on morphological properties DNA sequence analysis. C. demonstrated controlling effect 76.7% tomato bacterial promoted 0.5-fold increase seedling height. It colonized roots, enhancing activity antioxidant defensive enzyme systems. Transcriptomic qPCR approaches were used to study induction response strain infection comparing gene expression profiles. Gene ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genome (KEGG) pathway enrichment revealed tomatoes produce salicylic acid metabolism, ethylene-activated signaling, photosynthesis, phenylpropanoid biosynthesis infection. The IAA4 (3.5-fold change), ERF1 Hqt (1.5-fold change) substantially enhanced Hsc 70 (0.5-fold significantly reduced treatment group. This provides theoretical foundation further investigation into as biological agent prevention control wilt.

Field surveys conducted during 2021 and 2022 in Western Sicily, Italy, revealed the presence of common fig trees severely affected by trunk crown root canker bark cracking. Moreover, conjunction with symptomatic tissues, same surveyed plants showed beetle holes internal wood galleries. The predominant Criphalus dilutus was previously reported attacking figs Sicily. Phylogenetic analyses based on multilocus DNA data different fungal taxa associated disease symptoms, including Botryosphaeria dothidea, Ceratocystis ficicola, Diaporthe foeniculina, Neocosmospora bostrycoides, N. perseae, Neofusicoccum luteum. Pathogenicity tests potted that all species were pathogenic to fig, C. ficicola spp. as most aggressive species. isolations from bodies emerging adult insects recovered samples confirmed spp., suggesting potential involvement their dissemination.

This is the ninth in a series of Mycosphere notes wherein we provide on various fungal taxa Dothideomycetes.In this set notes, focus species associated with woody oil plants, which are important terms food security, ecology, agriculture and for industrial manufacturing.Eighty-five were identified three orders (Muyocopronales, Pleosporales Valsariales).Thirty-four (belonging to 16 families) Pleosporales, one was classified Valsariales recognized Muyocopronales.We introduce two new genera Oleaginea (Lophiostomataceae) Neobrevicollum (Neohendersoniaceae) species, Acrocalymma paeoniae, Corynespora idesiae, Flabellascoma pistaciae, Loculosulcatispora Lophiostoma oleae, Montagnula verniciae, Neocucurbitaria pistaciicola, Nigrograna acericola, Ni. sichuanensis, Palmiascoma Paramonodictys Pseudothyridariella idesiae.New host/country records provided pterocarpi, Angustimassarina kunmingense, Austropleospora ochracea, Crassiparies quadrisporus, hongheensis, Lophiotrema hydei, neoarundinaria, chiangraiense, japonica, montanae, donacina, Muyocopron lithocarpi, Neokalmusia aquibrunnea, Neovaginatispora fuckelii, locuta-pollinis, magnoliae, Pseudochaetosphaeronema P. The order Hypocreales, which belongs to the Ascomycota class Sordariomycetes, has a large number of species and occupies variety ecological niches, including saprophytic, symbiotic, parasitic fungi. While much research focused on terrestrial Hypocrealean fungi, there remains significant gap in our understanding their diversity roles marine environments. In this study, we isolated 47 fungal strains from various habitats South Korea. Through polyphasic phylogenetic analysis using multi-genetic markers (ITS, LSU, TEF1, RPB2, TUB, ACT) morphological analysis, identified 21 previously undiscovered Korea, 5 new 16 unrecorded species. Our findings illustrate highlighting need for additional into functions potential biotechnology medicine.

The genus Cytosporella includes non-lichenized, plant associated fungi producing eustromatic conidiomata, phialidic conidiophores and hyaline, ellipsoid conidia. Of the 69 names assigned to this in Index Fungorum, only three species are with sequence data. In study, a new species: Cytosporellafuligomixta is described based on strain isolated from sooty mould community Quercusrobur leaves Poland. phylogenetic analyses including sequences of two loci (LSU, mtSSU) showed that species, together members four other or fungicolous genera, namely Cladosterigma, Neoacrodontiella, Nothoramularia Vanderaaea, form sister group lichenized lichenicolous family Gomphillaceae order Graphidales. Previously, Cladosterigma was resolved as member using multi-locus (mtSSU, SSU, LSU, ITS, rpb2, tef1) two-locus analyses, while Cytosporella, were shown belong LSU analyses. However, none them these genera Gomphillaceae. placement Vanderaaea within here for first time. Due phylogenetic, morphological ecological characteristics subfamily Cladosterigmoideae five non-lichenized genera.
