Introduction The incidence of metabolic diseases tends to be highest during the transition period (±3 weeks around parturition) in dairy cows due physiological changes and onset lactation. Although blood profile testing allows for monitoring nutritional status, conducting extensive analyses herd is costly stressful invasive procedures. Therefore, mid-infrared spectroscopy (MIR) could seen as a valid alternative. Mid-infrared spectroscopy (MIRS) is increasingly used as a rapid and effective analytical method for the quantitative prediction of detailed milk composition, such minerals, fatty acids, amino acids (AA).
