Wastewater-based
epidemiology
(WBE)
has
been
an
important
tool
for
population
surveillance
during
the
COVID-19
pandemic
and
continues
to
play
a
key
role
in
monitoring
SARS-CoV-2
infection
levels
following
reductions
national
clinical
testing
schemes.
Studies
measuring
decay
profiles
of
wastewater
have
underscored
value
WBE,
however
investigations
hampered
by
high
biosafety
requirements
studies.
Therefore,
surrogate
viruses
with
lower
standards
used
studies,
such
as
murine
hepatitis
virus
(MHV),
but
few
studies
directly
compared
rates
both
viruses.
We
persistence
MHV
wastewater,
using
TCID50
RT-qPCR
assays
assess
infectious
titre
viral
gene
markers,
respectively.
Infectious
indicate
similar
endpoints,
observed
early
characteristics
differed,
decaying
more
rapidly
than
MHV,
raising
questions
about
suitability
wastewater.
This
study
further
highlights
importance
ongoing
other
pathogens
sample
preparation
rate
overestimation.

Human
Adenovirus
(hAdv)
infections
are
currently
at
a
surge
in
India
with
West
Bengal
holding
prominent
place.Patient
cohort
majority
being
children
getting
reported
flue
like
symptoms,
low
oxygen

upper
respiratory
tract
infection.Diarrhoea

eyes
also
noted.Clinical
manifestations
by
different
serotypes
of
the
aforementioned
DNA
virus
were
previously
confined
to
multifaceted
mild
symptoms
but
recently
taking
serious
toll
mainly
due
mutant
varieties
virus.Since
contamination
spreads
through
droplet
infection
faecal-oral
route,
personal
hygiene
holds
most
superior
preventive
measure.Patient
infective
swabs,
stool
and/or
blood
can
be
tested
for
presence
hAdv
diagnostic
methods,
PCR
based
techniques
commonly
followed
pathological
laboratories.Number
patients
both
paediatric
adults
admitted
hospitals
increasing
reports
infection.Treatments
specific
clinical
provided
cases,
whereas
certain
drugs
Ganciclovir
Ribavirin
used
treat
severe
infections,
variable
success
rate.Drug
Cidofovir
had
shown
some
degree
moderate
treatment
immune-compromised
patients.However,
no
has
been
till
date
infection.
