Nachdem im Mai 2022 in Großbritannien bei einem Reiserückkehrer aus Nigeria erstmals eine Infektion mit Mpox (vormals Affenpocken, Monkeypox) diagnostiziert wurde, wurden wenig zeitversetzt auch die ersten Fälle Deutschland gemeldet. In den folgenden Monaten wurde ein starker Anstieg der Fallzahlen beobachtet, insbesondere Nord-/Südamerika und Europa. gehörte zu am stärksten betroffenen Länder weltweit. Aim. This meta-analysis estimates the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases (STIs) and HIV infection among male patients diagnosed with Monkeypox during 2022 outbreak. Objectives: After the global impact of COVID‐19 pandemic, concerns over virus transmission have risen. A state health emergency was declared in 2022 due to Clade 2 monkeypox (MPOX) virus. In August 2024, another by World Health Organization (WHO) because widespread 1b, which caused a more severe and lethal disease. This review synthesizes current MPOX knowledge assist policymakers, clinicians, researchers developing effective diagnostics, therapeutic interventions, vaccination strategies, outbreak management. Methods: systematic study searched for articles on epidemiology, virology, clinical features, routes, available drugs vaccines, new artificial intelligence (AI) applications diagnosis drug discovery. Results: is 200–250‐nm, double‐stranded DNA (ds‐DNA) that causes smallpox‐like skin lesions. Tecovirimat primary cases, especially people with suppressed immune systems. Smallpox vaccines can help prevent infection genetic similarities between smallpox viruses. AI‐based models medical teams promptly diagnosing lesions, improving decision‐making treatment. Since 2020, we are witnessing a COVID-19 pandemic that has ruled out all other pandemics ever happened in our history. Monkeypox (MPX) is a zoonotic infection caused by an orthopoxvirus that endemic to Central and Western Africa. The MPX virus part of the same family viruses as variola virus, which causes smallpox. Since May 2022, there has been global increase in incidence infections multiple countries where illness not usually prevalent. A growing number publications have emphasized on need for increased awareness among all health professionals rapid recognition diagnosis this disease proper public measures. However, atypical presentations occurrence uncommon symptoms receive less than desired attention. More specifically, related nociceptive are currently underexposed. Nevertheless, reports from current outbreak revealed (severe) pain one major distress even hospitalization these patients. Monkeypox is a rare, zoonotic viral illness that was initially endemic mainly to Africa. The virus later spread non-African countries and, in 2022, it exploded on global scale, with an unprecedented number of cases. rapid, multi-country transmission, primarily men who have sex (MSM), and evolving clinical manifestations demographic traits the current outbreak raised serious concerns among international health community.
