Activated carbon are carbonized materials with high surface area and porosity. This research explores the use of two stages: carbonization Africa star apple (C. albidum) seed shell followed by activation at 600 °C sulphuric acid. The prepared activated (AC) was characterized using scanning electron microscope energy dispersive X-ray spectra (EDX), Fourier transform infrared, thermo-gravimetric analyzer, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller diffraction (XRD) for its morphology elemental composition, functional groups, thermal stability, specific porosity crystalline structure respectively. Based on analysis, contains highly irregular jagged surface, characteristic material active properties due to groups. EDX spectrum report indicates a significant concentration atoms within sample. XRD pattern presents existence crystallographic plane which implies presence well-organized layers in AC structure. is determined be 47.129 m²/g pore volume 0.08712 cc/g. A indicative large number available adsorption sites, advantageous processes. Therefore, Chrysophyllum albidum an apt agricultural product preparation high-quality carbon.
