The risk of developing subsequent breast cancer is higher in women diagnosed with benign disease (BBD) but these studies were primarily performed non-Hispanic white populations. Still, estimates have been used to inform models that are being clinically across all racial and ethnic groups. Given the high mortality rates among African American (AA) women, it critical study BBD this population, ensure include information perform adequately. This utilized data from AA who underwent biopsies at a hospital served by University Pathology Group Detroit, Michigan, 1998 2010. Patients followed for cancers through population-based Metropolitan Detroit Cancer Surveillance System (MDCSS). lesion scores assigned represent severity or extent lesions, indicating greater number distinct types. Of 3,461 eligible cohort, 6.88% (n=238) subsequently developed cancer. Examined individually, six eleven lesions (apocrine metaplasia, ductal hyperplasia, lobular intraductal papilloma, sclerosing adenosis, columnar alterations radial scars) significantly associated increased after adjustment age year biopsy further considered multiple models. For every different type lesion, 25% (RR=1.25, 95% CI: 1.10, 1.42) proliferative versus non-proliferative disease. In summary, affirms BBD, particularly those lesions. These findings implications management millions affected group could benefit personalized surveillance reduction strategies.

Background Cervical cancer remains a significant gynecologic malignancy in both China and the United States, posing substantial threat to women’s lives health due its high morbidity mortality rates. Altered energy metabolism dysregulated mitochondrial function play crucial roles development, growth, metastasis, recurrence of malignant tumors. In this study, we aimed predict prognosis assess efficacy anti-tumor therapy cervical patients based on differential genes associated with metabolism. Methods Transcriptomic data clinical profiles were retrieved from TCGA GEO databases. Differential gene-related cellular pathways identified through GO, KEGG, GSEA analyses. Prognostic indices constructed using LASSO regression analysis. Immune cell infiltration was assessed CIBERSORT ssGSEA, correlation between immune checkpoint inhibitor examined. Tumor mutation load (TMB) association prognostic analyzed nucleotide variant database. Patient response immunotherapy sensitivity antitumor drugs determined TIDE algorithm oncoPredic algorithm, respectively. Results A index metabolism-related developed outcome patients, enabling their classification into two distinct subtypes. The emerged as an independent risk factor for unfavorable prognosis. high-index group exhibited significantly worse overall prognosis, along elevated tumor burden (TMB), increased infiltration, lower scores, indicating potential benefit immunotherapy. Conversely, low-index demonstrated agents, specifically multikinase inhibitors. Conclusion aim study develop metabolism, which could be used patients’ prognoses. When combined TMB analyses, offers insights landscape, well targeted therapy. Our analysis suggests that Iron-Sulfur Cluster Assembly Enzyme (ISCU) gene holds promise biomarker

Brain tumors are one of the most common causes death that have been widely investigated by scholars in research areas, including care and prevention. Despite various empirical studies on brain tumor segmentatin, there is still a need for further investigation. This fact more needed automatic methods detection. In present study, new method improving segmentation accuracy based super-pixel fast primal dual (PD) algorithms has proposed. The proposed detects tissue Flair-MRI imaging BRATS2012 dataset. primary borders using algorithm, improves PD Markov random field optimization. Then, post-processing processes used to delete white areas. Finally, an active contour algorithm was employed display area. Different experiments were carried qualitative quantitative criteria such as dice similarity measure, F-measure evaluation. obtained results showed efficiency method, sensitivity 86.59 88.57% F1-Measure 86.37 obtained, respectively.
