Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) present a significant clinical challenge due to their high prevalence and profound impact on morbidity. Ultrasound-assisted wound debridement (UAWD) has emerged as potential therapeutic modality improve healing outcomes in DFU management. To evaluate the efficacy of UAWD treating DFUs closure rates, treatment duration, quality life outcomes. This systematic review meta-analysis followed PRISMA guidelines, systematically searching PubMed, Embase, Web Science, Cochrane Library with no date restrictions. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated were included. Data independently extracted by two reviewers, discrepancies resolved through consensus or third-party consultation. The risk bias was assessed using tool. χ 2 I statistics heterogeneity, informing use fixed random-effects models for meta-analysis, supplemented sensitivity analysis publication assessment funnel plots Egger's test. From 1255 articles, seven RCTs met inclusion criteria. studies demonstrated significantly reduced time (standardized mean difference = -0.78, 95%CI: -0.97 -0.60, P < 0.001) increased rates (odds ratio 9.96, 5.99 16.56, compared standard care. Sensitivity confirmed stability these results, detected. is promising adjunctive DFUs, reducing times increasing rates. These findings advocate integration into care protocols.

ABSTRACT The current study assessed the wound healing potential of Bergenia ciliata (BC) extract, BC‐loaded Salvia hispanica hydrogel (CH‐BC) and nanoparticles (NPs)–loaded (CH‐BC AgNPs/NPs‐loaded hydrogel) using in vitro vivo studies. prepared its components were analyzed UV–visible spectrophotometry (UV–vis), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis/particle size analyzer (PSA), zeta potential, fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FT‐IR), x‐ray diffraction (XRD). Peaks peak shifts at 450–460, 250–260, 270–280 nm UV–vis FT‐IR (500–4000 cm −1 ) confirmed extract loading various functional group presence. DLS nanometric BC AgNP while indicated slightly negative charge hydrogel. SEM average topography –mediated (BC AgNPs) AgNPs loaded AgNPs), XRD peaks 2ϴ (10–70) topographical crystalline porous nature materials. showed higher radical scavenging (74.19% ± 1.84%) iron chelation activity (93.70 2.20) 50 25 μL/mL, respectively, CH‐BC produced lowest (48.97% 3.0%) 75 μL/mL (54.35 3.24). Moreover, Chia (CH) synergistically enhanced (1.30%) DPPH scavenging. contraction percentage augmented as potent candidate for (14th day). These findings further supported by a significant ( p < 0.001) restoration MMP2 (184.6 11.7 pg/mL), TIMPs (184.8 15.7 GPx (153.4 11.5 IL‐6 (10 1 pg/mL) levels compared to those diabetic control. normal reepithelization, angiogenesis, maturation wounds treatment groups after histological analysis strengthened supposed rationale that CH, along with AgNPs, can act improve therapeutic results. Hence, appeared sustainable, biocompatible, nontoxic agent paved way futuristic biomedical investigations.

The increasing prevalence of acute traumas, surgical wounds, and chronic skin wounds poses significant therapeutic challenges for wound treatment. One the main concerns in care is danger infection, which a barrier to healing cause higher morbidity mortality rates. emergence drug-resistant bacterial species becoming more frequent every day. Antimicrobial dressings have become viable strategy hospital expense savings. Several factors, such as wound’s localization state, microbial load, cost, must be considered when choosing an appropriate antimicrobial dressing. key goals infection avoidance. This study addresses focusing on prevention combating strains. research explores development novel composite incorporating hydroxyapatite, known its osteoconductive properties, essential oils from basil cinnamon, recognized their activity. evaluates impact these additives properties surface morphology, water absorption, enzymatic degradation, mechanical performance. tests showed that two experimental samples (A1S A1BS) exhibited activity against Escherichia coli but not Staphylococcus aureus. results highlight dressings’ enhanced strength, controlled making them promising candidates advanced healing. Tailored applications were identified, with each dressing composition offering unique benefits specific wound-healing scenarios based balance between flexibility, structural support, bioactivity.

All acute and chronic wound management strategies have limitations. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop new treatment options for healing. Hydrogels based on natural polymers offer advantages in because they can reduce patients' pain, fight infection, carry targeted drugs speed up the healing process. In this study, we aimed investigate alginate-grafted N-vinylcaprolactam-based matrix a modified release of dexketoprofen (DEX), which potentially useful Free radical polymerization grafted techniques were used prepare thermo-responsive hydrogels. The obtained hydrogels, unloaded hydrogel (HY) dexketoprofen-loaded (DEXHY), characterized analyzed. concentration DEX encapsulated polymer was 4 mg/mL. IC50 values found samples tested by us 607.4 µg/mL HY, 950.4 DEXHY, 2239 DEX. average value cell viability (%) after exposure cells DEXHY 75.4%. exhibited very good vitro closure rate, given its ability modify kinetics. developed study has shown considerable potential facilitate even accelerate healing, including surgical wounds, inhibiting overexpressed inflammation

Bleeding and traumatic injuries are still a major issue necessitating the development of advanced hemostatic materials that economical, biocompatible, effective. Chitosan's (CS) haemostatic biocompatible properties make it promising wound-healing material, however, effective cross-linking is essential for appropriate physiochemical properties. In this study, calcium-doped carbon dots (CDs) produced from coriander leaves were used as agents to improve functional performance structural integrity nanohydrogel films. Furthermore, extract medicinal plant Bistorta officinalis (BEX), traditional with strong antibacterial qualities, was incorporated into hydrogel matrix. Analysis characterization synthesized CDs thoroughly confirmed they have monodispersed spherical shape, negative zeta potential, active groups which effectively cross-linked chitosan matrix increased mechanical strength stability film. Cytotoxicity results final films showed desired cytocompatibility against Human skin fibroblast (HFF-1 cells) over 80% viability at highest concentration activity gram-positive gram-negative bacteria (further improved by incorporating BEX), respectively. The incorporation BEX in significantly enhanced film's blood-clotting ability negligible hemolysis due blood clotting index tests. findings study highlight potential biomaterial-based nano film, composed CS containing BEX, wound dressing outstanding biocompatibility, minimal cytotoxicity, efficacy,
