This study aimed to examine if excess body weight impacts the outcomes of IVF treatment cycles. While data on effect and/or association continue produce mixed results, recent studies stratifying analyses by age are yielding clarity a detrimental potential obesity outcomes. Specifically, in third decade life susceptible adverse implications weight, as reflected lower clinical pregnancy and live birth rates. Plausible pathogenic mechanisms underlying impact include inflammation, DNA repair, insulin resistance, targets such that spectrum players critical reproductive success, including oocyte, sperm, embryo, uterine receptivity. The more pronounced age, inflammatory processes seem be particularly relevant interplay excess, adiposity, cycle

The aim was to investigate the value of application a progesterone-primed ovarian stimulation (PPOS) protocol in patients with endometriosis (OEM) combined diminished reserve (DOR). A retrospective analysis 95 OEM DOR who underwent vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer (IVF/ICSI-ET) conducted between March 2020 and February 2024 at Reproductive Center Xuzhou Central Hospital. Patients were divided into two groups on basis used: PPOS group (n = 60, 60 cycles) GnRH agonist downregulation 35, 35 cycles). General data, outcomes, pregnancy outcomes compared groups. There no statistically significant differences terms general data (P > 0.05). Compared group, presented significantly more Gn days higher dosages < However, there number oocytes retrieved, metaphase II oocyte rate, fertilization cleavage high-quality embryo or cycle cancellation rate Additionally, observed parameters, endometrial thickness, implantation clinical ectopic early miscarriage In DOR, had comparable those protocol, added advantage being cost-effective.

Introduction Female obesity has been conclusively associated with compromised fertility, adverse pregnancy outcomes and higher risks of obstetric neonatal complications. However, it remains unclear whether the observed in IVF treatments among women are primarily due to itself or underlying pathologies such as PCOS. Studies investigating impact overweight/obesity compared normal weight PCOS have yielded inconsistent findings. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 4083 undergoing first IVF-ET cycle antagonist protocol. Among them, 1755 were divided into group (18.5 g/m 2 ≤ BMI < 24.0 kg/m ), 1398 overweight (24.0 28.0 ) 930 obese (BMI ≥ ). The primary outcome was live birth. Other parameters, embryological, birth newborns. additionally investigated potential associations maternal a continuous variable for both linear non-linear associations. Result Women had fewer numbers oocytes retrieved (adjusted B: -0.82 [-1.17 -0.47] adjusted -1.86 [-2.26 -1.46], respectively), 2PN -0.52 [-0.78 -0.26] -1.46]), good-quality embryos -0.34 [-0.57 -0.12] -0.88 [-1.13 -0.62]), weight. rate 35.7%, 30.6% 27.2% group, respectively OR:0.76 [0.65 0.89]) verse weight, OR:0.64 [0.53 0.76)] weight). There significant between outcomes. did not observe these Discussion Overweight experienced lower good quality embryos, reduced rates births, miscarriage normal-weight
