Research shows that media-based dietary and behavioral strategies can aid weight loss, but limited studies have been conducted among Black/African American adults. ABSTRACT While consumers increasingly use food scanner apps as an alternative to front‐of‐pack labels, the effectiveness of these nutritional signals in promoting healthier choices remains a topic debate. This study examines when and under what conditions encourage eating outperform nutrition labels. It builds on four studies: quantitative content analysis over 16,000 online reviews survey 86 respondents exploratory phase, along with two experiments that test conceptual model. The findings identify three where labels: quality score product is poor, distrust dominant players, mid‐range brands have average brand equity. These suggest labels complement rather than oppose each other, thus providing key insights for policymakers managers.

Mobile apps can effectively promote healthy and sustainable eating, but their success depends on initial user engagement. This study aimed to increase engagement by tailoring app descriptions users’ regulatory focus (prevention versus promotion). Four conditions were created combining two types of messages: concern (safety growth) anticipated emotion (positive negative). The safety message emphasized the protection health environment, while growth improvement well-being environmental conservation. with positive described satisfaction using app, negative dissatisfaction not app. Participants’ attitudes, desires, intentions, as well downloads measured assess effectiveness message. Background & Objectives: Correct nutrition during pregnancy is key to guaranteeing success at this stage of a woman’s life, and nutritional education the fundamental tool for achieving this. Studies carried out in different countries indicate that pregnant women do not comply with dietary recommendations.
