Currently, the potential role of obesity on semen quality remains unclear. In recent years, alternative anthropometric indices to body mass index (BMI), which can precisely distinguish fat distribution, have been described estimate central adiposity. However, neck circumference (NC), a novel adiposity, is unknown. This study aims reveal potentials adiposity indices, including NC, in predicting poor quality. A total 4739 male participants between ages 17-55 were included this cross-sectional study. Semen parameters, sperm concentration, count, total, progressive and rapid motility vitality, divided into two categories according WHO classification for infertility. As measurements obesity, BMI waist (WC), hip (HC), waist-to-hip ratio (WHpR), waist-to-height (WHtR) NC examined. The predictive low parameters evaluated by Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve analysis. associations with analyzed binary logistic regression analyze after adjusting confounding factors. Abstract Background The weight-adjusted waist index (WWI) is a new measure of obesity, and this study aimed to determine the association between WWI stroke. Methods Using National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2011–2020 dataset, cross-sectional data from 23,389 participants were analysed. correlation stroke was investigated through multivariate logistic regression smoothing curve fitting. Subgroup analysis interaction tests also carried out. Results research involved participants, whom 893 (3.82%) had fully adjusted model revealed positive [1.25 (1.05, 1.48)]. Individuals who in highest quartile exhibited 62% higher likelihood experiencing than those lowest [1.62 (1.06, 2.48)]. that similar different population settings (all P for > 0.05). Conclusion A associated with prevalence results underscore value prevention management.

Objective This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between weight-adjusted waist circumference index (WWI) and frailty in American adults aged over 60 years. Methods We utilized data from National Health Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) spanning 2007 2018. WWI was calculated using square root of (cm) divided by body weight (kg). The ≥ 0.25 employed assess frailty. Weighted multivariate logistic regression conducted explore association Generalized Additive Modeling (GAM) used potential non-linear relationships. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis predictive ability for Results encompassed 7765 participants. Higher significantly associated with higher odds In fully adjusted model, each unit increase an 82% increased (OR: 1.82, 95% CI: 1.61 – 2.06; P < 0.001). GAM found significant nonlinear relationships threshold effects. Conclusion presented a robust correlation elevated among older adults. However, these findings require further validation large-scale, prospective studies.

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the leading cause of sexual dysfunction affecting hundreds millions men worldwide, and has been described as an important public health problem. The association five novel anthropometrics related to obesity, lipids glucose with ED remains unclear. To investigate lipid accumulation products index (LAP), triglyceride (TyG), waist (WTI), weight-adjusted-waist (WWI) a body shape (ABSI) ED. Cross-sectional data from NHANES were used. Participants adults aged 20–85 y 2001 2004. analysis logistic regressions, smooth curve fitting, subgroup analyses generalized addition model performed examine relationship between anthropometric indicators prevalence An overall 1413 adult included in study. After adjusting for confounding factors, results multiple regression showed, positively correlated LAP(OR = 1.0031, P < 0.05), TyG(OR 1.2981, WTI(OR 1.4220, WWI(OR 1.6043, 0.001), ABSI(OR 1.6211, 0.05). Smoothed fitting proved stability relationship. This cross-sectional study showed positive correlation these (LAP, TyG, WTI, WWI, ABSI) Further studies are needed explore their better underlying mechanisms.

The weight-to-waist index (WWI) serves as an innovative metric specifically designed to assess central obesity. However, the relationship between WWI and prevalence of post-stroke depression (PSD) remains inadequately explored in literature. To elucidate PSD. Data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2005 2018 were analyzed. Multivariable logistic regression models propensity score matching utilized investigate association PSD, with adjustments for potential confounders. restricted cubic spline statistical method was applied explore non-linear associations. Participants elevated values had a significantly greater risk developing Specifically, individuals higher range exhibited more than twice likelihood PSD compared those lower (odds ratio = 2.21, 95% confidence interval: 1.84-2.66, P < 0.0001). After matching, remained 1.43, 95%confidence 1.09-1.88, 0.01). Tertile analysis revealed that participants highest tertile faced lowest tertile. Restricted further association, plateauing at values. There is significant increased Thus, regular screening should be implemented stroke patients enhance patient outcomes.

Cardiometabolic Syndrome (CMS) is associated with increased risks of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and all-cause mortality. The Weight-Adjusted Waist Circumference Index (WWI) has emerged as a novel metric for assessing obesity its health implications. To investigate the relationship between WWI mortality in CMS patients, considering mediating role inflammatory markers. study analyzed National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data from 2003 to 2018 identified 6506 patients CMS. was calculated square root waist circumference (cm) divided by weight (kg). Mortality were correlated Death (NDI). Cox regression models, adjusted demographic clinical covariates, assessed effect on cause-specific Finally, markers explored using mediation analysis. observed positive linear association all-cause, cardiovascular, diabetes-related mortalities among patients. After adjusting confounders, remained significant predictor Mediation analysis revealed that markers, particularly neutrophil systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), significantly mediated an independent inflammation potentially linking risk. These findings may inform risk assessment management strategies
