Abstract This empirical analysis aims to probe the impact of geopolitical risk (GPR) and economic policy uncertainty (EPU) on green growth (GG) in China. In order achieve this, we make use time series data from 1990 2020. We adopt novel wavelet quantile correlation (WQC) approach report time‐varying results across quantiles. The key findings WQC delineate that EPU GPR impede GG short‐ long‐run, whereas, promote medium‐run. Regarding recommendations, suggest both upsurge long‐run

Environmental degradation is one of the most debatable topics at international forums and it considered a prime concern for entire world. Therefore, researchers policymakers have turned their attention from conventional economic growth to green growth. Although existing literature has discussed several determinants growth, impact policy uncertainty (EPU), renewable energy consumption (RENE), institutional quality (IQ) on (GGDP) relatively unexplored. Hence, this study earliest attempt investigate EPU, IQ, RENE GGDP emerging seven (E-7) countries 1996 2019. In doing so, we apply panel quantile regression (PQR). The empirical findings delineate that EPU negative GGDP, whereas IQ enhance in E-7 countries. Based outcomes, suggests implications achieving targets SDG 07, 08, 13, 16. governments these can achieve higher by ensuring political stability reliable macroeconomic policies through making such flexible easily control or address unpredictable future issues.

Environmental sustainability is a pressing global concern that demands urgent attention from policymakers and researchers. The objective of our research to investigate the influence economic policy uncertainty (determined by world index) financial development on carbon emissions, followed green technological innovation, institutional quality, growth, foreign direct investment, energy consumption, trade in Organization Economic Co-operation Development, for period 2003–2019, analyse data, second-generation econometric techniques are used. We applied two-stage sequential linear panel data model generalised method moments approach tackle endogeneity problem report robust findings. findings study revealed uncertainty, development, decrease environmental quality increasing CO2 while innovation increase degradation reducing emissions. Our evidence-based provides significant outcomes conditioning's role emissions OECD economies.

Renewable energy holds a remarkable role in clean adaptation due to the much lower carbon footprint it releases compared other fossil fuels. It also has positive impact by slowing down rate of climate change. The study examined links between renewable and non-renewable use, CO 2 emissions economic growth developed, developing, LDCs Economies Transition 1990 2019 152 countries. Granger-causality been used as methodology investigate link variables. findings existing studies on relationship consumption sources are inconsistent, indicating that there may or not be two factors. Apart from having few empirical so far have above-mentioned variables, analysis yet encompass all regions four sub-groups discussed above. results indicated no Granger-causal exists GDP REC outside Transition. Additionally, countries one-way relationship. Nevertheless, research indicates bi-directional Transition, uni-directional developing countries, meaningful association developed LDCs. Therefore, is essential emphasise actions develop while stimulating economy. Ultimately, more nations should choose build sustainable future.

The Paris Agreement (PA), an authoritative political document on emissions reduction and low-carbon initiatives, requires the transportation sector to take decisive action toward achieving objectives. This study uses CiteSpace conduct a bibliometric analysis of 746 (TSLC) research articles published since PA. reveals that China, United States, Kingdom are leading contributors, with Tsinghua University being most prolific institution. Sustainability, Journal Cleaner Production, Transportation Research Part D influential in terms publication volume. reviews recent studies TSLC from perspective renewable energy technology applications, evolution intelligent transport systems, policy support, public participation. Then, in-depth interpretation potential impacts policies circulation commodities, system, socioeconomic development is conducted. Finally, knowledge map presented, illustrating pathways for targets under guidance PA, laying foundation future efforts sustainable transport.

Rapid urbanization and economic growth in OECD member nations have intensified environmental challenges, notably the rise carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Despite significant research on growth, there is little knowledge of how these factors interact with green innovation to affect CO2 This study addresses this gap by exploring impacts urbanization, innovation, emissions countries. Using panel data analysis from 1996 2022, employs a robust econometric approach, including Breusch–Pagan Pesaran tests for cross-sectional dependency, CIPS unit root test, cointegration Kao Westerlund. The results confirm complex interrelations variables revealing notable dependence heterogeneity among them. Both Driscoll–Kraay System GMM estimations demonstrate that (GreG) (GrI) significantly reduce emanations, while (U) has inverse effect. Renewable energy consumption (REnC) also contributes lower pollution whereas (EnC) natural resource dependency (NrD) worsen degradation. emphasizes need policies innovations slow climate change, support sustainable improve quality.

Transportation infrastructure plays a significant role in exacerbating climate change as it contributes to substantial increase carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The sole economic sector which European countries have not succeeded reducing greenhouse gas (GHG)emissions is the transportation industry. Therefore, transport-related emissions primary focus of emphasis Union's efforts meet its targets. Accordingly, this study analyzes impact renewable energy use, patent development, and taxes transport on three different modes (aviation, road, rail) 10 highest-income Union over period 2008–2020. uses novel half-panel jackknife estimator for analysis. results estimation show that patents contribute reduction CO2 aviation rail transportation, while energies are only effective transportation. In context road mitigating Based these findings, recommended policymakers promote use electric vehicles eco- friendly means through taxes, sources such biodiesel transport, reduce by supporting green innovations sector.
