Abstract The reproductive characteristics of Hanwoo play a significant role in farm profitability by decreasing the generation interval. This study analyzed 1015 primiparous and 916 multiparous cows using genome‐wide association with both single‐locus (GEMMA, GCTA) multi‐locus models (FarmCPU, BLINK). A marker for age at first service was identified across all methods. For conception, GEMMA two markers, while FarmCPU BLINK 14 respectively. Regarding calving, found 15 In cows, except days open, one gestation length markers calving interval were (FarmCPU Additionally, number services per conception GEMMA. Key candidate genes included PLCB1 (maintaining pregnancy), MUC1 (fetal development), ADCY5 (associated fetal birth), TXNL1 regulates embryo implantation timing. Gene ontology functions associated placental regulation also confirmed (GO:0046875). Although greater genes, there no overlap results from models. showed enhanced detection power, but slight inflation test statistics ( λ values) necessitates cautious interpretation to avoid false positives. Thus, combination is recommended improve efficiency providing valuable insights into genetic aspects traits.

Abstract In the past few decades, genomic selection and other refined strategies have been used to increase growth rate lean meat production of beef cattle. Nevertheless, fast rates cattle breeds are often accompanied by a reduction in intramuscular fat (IMF) deposition, impairing quality. Transcription factors play vital roles regulating adipogenesis lipogenesis Meanwhile, understanding role transcription has gained significant attention IMF deposition Therefore, aim this paper was provide comprehensive summary valuable insight into complex This review summarizes contemporary studies lipogenesis, genome‐wide analysis factors, epigenetic regulation nutritional metabolic signalling pathways, functional genomics methods, transcriptomic profiling adipose tissues, quality comparative with livestock species. conclusion, crucial promoting adipocyte development fatty acid biosynthesis They control tissue formation metabolism, thereby improving maintaining balance. Understanding processes which these regulate lipid metabolism will simplify marbling or composition

This article provides an overview of modern genetic technologies for improving production traits and predicting breeding value in beef cattle. In particular, marker-assisted selection the most promising is selectionby desirable genotypes genes myostatin (MSTN), calpain (CAPN), calpastatin (CAST), growth hormone (GH), leptin (LEP), thyroglobulin (TG), fatty acid binding protein (FABP), retinoic C-receptor (RORC), diacyl-glycerol acyltransferase (DGATI), sterol-Co desaturase (SCD). A much more advanced approach Single Step Genomic Best Linear Unbiased Predictions (ssGBLUP) method, which calculates a Estimated Breeding Value (GEBV) using DNA chip genotyping, phenotype pedigree data. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS), based on use markers distributed throughout genome non-equilibrium linkage with at least one quantitative traits, are currently recognised as informative finding new cattle productivity. New associated live weight different stages ontogenesis, average daily gain, residual feed intake, carcass flesh content have been identified. Most identified control cell division, lipid carbohydrate metabolism. The accumulated data full-genome exome sequencing led to methods analysis – gene ontology networks. networks provided first detailed understanding basis formation complex phenotypic interaction regulatory «major» «peripheral» controlling development particular trait.

Sumba Ongole (Bos indicus) is a native beef cattle that adapts well in Island of Indonesia. This study was carried out to perform genome-wide association for body weight (BW) and carcass (CW) (SO) bulls. A total forty-eight (n=48) SO bulls were used this study. The data collected from the slaughterhouse at Bogor City, West Java, Indonesia, analyzed using genomic software TASSEL 5.0 obtain best genetic marker. result showed threshold Manhattan plot (-Log10P3) select SNP markers BW CW two (2) BTA1, i.e., ARS-BFGL-NGS-3162 (CEP63 gene) ARS-BFGL-NGS-78232 significantly associated with CW, respectively. Nonetheless, diversity both low, PIC value less than 0.30. In conclusion, heterozygous TG CEP63 gene have higher homozygous TT

Understanding the pig immune function is crucial for disease-resistant breeding and potentially human health research due to shared system features. Immune cell ratios, like monocyte/lymphocyte ratio (MLR) neutrophil/lymphocyte (NLR), offer a more comprehensive view of status compared individual counts. However, on ratios remains limited. This study investigated MLR NLR in Duroc × Erhualian F2 resource population. Heritability analysis revealed high values (0.649 0.688 NLR, respectively), suggesting strong genetic component. Furthermore, we employed an ensemble-like GWAS (E-GWAS) strategy functional annotation identify 11 MLR-associated 6 NLR-associated candidate genes. These genes were significantly enriched immune-related biological processes. findings provide novel markers associated with porcine immunity, thereby providing valuable insights addressing biosecurity animal welfare concerns industry.

Spotted sea bass (Lateolabrax maculatus) is an important marine economic fish in China, ranking third annual production among fish. However, a declined growth rate caused by germplasm degradation has severely increased costs and reduced benefits. There urgent need to develop the fast-growing varieties of L. maculatus elucidate genetic mechanisms underlying traits. Here, whole-genome resequencing technology combined with extreme phenotype genome-wide association analysis (XP-GWAS) was used identify candidate markers genes associated traits maculatus. Two groups maculatus, consisting 100 slow-growing individuals significant differences body weight, length, carcass underwent resequencing. A total 4,528,936 high-quality single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were for XP-GWAS. These SNPs evenly distributed across all chromosomes without large gaps, average distance between only 175.8 bp. XP-GWAS based on Bayesian-information Linkage-disequilibrium Iteratively Nested Keyway (Blink) Fixed random model Circulating Probability Unification (FarmCPU) identified 50 growth-related markers, which 17 related 19 23 weight. The highest phenotypic variance explained (PVE) reached 15.82%. Furthermore, observed weight different genotypes. For example, there highly genotypes four located chromosome 16: chr16:13133726, chr16:13209537, chr16:14468078, chr16:18537358. Additionally, 47 growth-associated annotated. are mainly metabolism energy, glucose, lipids development musculoskeletal nervous systems, may regulate Our study genes, will help through marker-assisted breeding
