Background: Appropriate complimentary feeding (CF) has the potential to improve growth and development in infants from 6 months 2 years of age. This study’s aim was assess effect a CF education program on nutritional status aged 3–12 Polokwane Municipality. Methods: A longitudinal (non-randomized), quasi-experimental intervention study conducted among 187 caregivers. The caregiver-infant pairs (CIPs) group (n = 95) received six-month telephone follow-up support. CIPs control 94) no intervention. Objective: The aim of this study was to assess complementary feeding practices and dietary diversity in relation the nutritional status children under five attending health facilities Thabazimbi sub-district, Limpopo Province. Methods: A cross-sectional conducted among 409 mother–child pairs. Data on socio-demographics, practices, anthropometry were collected using validated tools. Nutritional assessed WHO growth standards, evaluated infant young child (IYCF) indicators a 24 h recall. Associations analyzed prevalence ratios STATA 18. Results: Among (median age: 18 months, IQR: 12–24), 38% stunted, 13% underweight, 5% thin, 17% overweight/obese. Exclusive breastfeeding reported 27%, only 24% met minimum (DDS ≥ 4). Complementary varied significantly by maternal age, with mixed more common older mothers younger likely receive advice (p = 0.001).
