tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) are a novel class of noncoding RNAs, precisely cleaved from tRNA, functioning as regulatory molecules. The topic tsRNAs in injuries has not been extensively discussed, and studies on entering new era. Here, we provide fresh perspective this topic. We systematically reviewed the classification, generation, biological functions response to stress, well their potential biomarkers therapeutic targets various injuries, including lung injury, liver renal cardiac neuronal vascular skeletal muscle skin injury. also provided association between stress-induced organ injury clinical perspective.

Abstract Macrophages are essential immune cells for host defense against bacterial pathogens after radiation injury. However, the role of macrophage phagocytosis in infection following injury remains poorly examined. Extracellular cold-inducible RNA-binding protein is a damage-associated molecular pattern that dysregulates system responses such as phagocytosis. We hypothesized radiation-induced extracellular release impairs bacteria. Adult healthy mice were exposed to 6.5 Gy total body irradiation. Primary peritoneal macrophages isolated from adult radiation. protein–neutralizing monoclonal antibody was added cell culture prior Bacterial by assessed using pHrodo Green-labeled Escherichia coli 7 d irradiation ex vivo and vitro. also treatment with recombinant murine protein. Nuclear radiation exposure events and tumor radiotherapy are highly susceptible to a range of psychological, physiological other health problems, which can seriously affect patients' quality life. It has been shown that 87.5 % patients exposed varying degrees injury during radiotherapy. The treatment (RI) in modern medicine is limited drug therapy, cell etc. Among them, the most chemical drugs cause many adverse reactions including fatigue, nausea, vomiting, etc., there very few dedicated RI. Traditional Chinese (TCM) rich natural medicinal resource, wide pharmacological activities, multiple targets action minimal toxic side effects. Many studies have demonstrated TCM its compound preparations enormous potential induced comprehensive diseases. However, clinical application due slow onset action, complex active ingredients, low bioavailability. Therefore, article reviews application, molecular mechanisms, new dosage forms prevention On this basis, we will focus on discussing development advantages prospects combination traditional Western achieve efficient This review aims provide scientific effective delivery strategies basic theoretical support for RI with TCM, further promote innovative TCM.

The delayed effects of radiation alone and combined with skin injury on the kidney are poorly understood. We aimed to unravel compare inflammatory, oxidative stress, survival signaling pathways in cortex before mice manifested renal dysfunction after these two injuries. Mice were analyzed 30 days post irradiation (9.5 Gy for alone, 9.0 a wound). Radiation did not significantly alter BUN, NGAL, or KIM-1 protein levels, indicating preserved function. However, had increased nuanced effect health. activated distinct inflammatory pathways. STAT3-Y705 phosphorylation, while boosted STAT1-Y701 phosphorylation. Additionally, mRNA abundance IFNγR1, IFNγR2, heparanase IL-10, tended increase levels reduced IL-4 levels. Both injuries HO-1 protein, but also MnSOD catalase proteins. promoted AKT1-S473 phosphorylation diminished p53 suggesting inhibition apoptosis. In summary, despite activation stress pathways, both protective mechanisms such as AKT1, offering insights into molecular events manifesting dysfunction.

Total-body irradiation (TBI) with gamma rays can damage organisms in various unexpected ways and trigger several organ dysfunction syndromes, such as acute radiation syndrome (ARS). Hematopoietic cells enterocytes are particularly sensitive to due their self-renewal ability rapid division, which leads hematopoietic ARS (H-ARS) gastrointestinal (GI-ARS). We previously showed that a lipid-based small molecule, 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetyl-rac-glycerol (PLAG), improved 30-day survival alleviated H-ARS symptoms BALB/c mice after lethal dose (LD70/30) of gamma-ray TBI. In this study, we investigated the mitigating effects PLAG on radiation-induced GI occurs under same conditions mice. Our study facilitated structural restoration intestinal tissues by increasing villus height, crypt depth, number, mucin-producing goblet cells, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)-positive cells. significantly absorptive capacity reduced injury-induced bacterial translocation. addition, effectively inhibited necroptosis signaling activation was responsible for sustained tissue release high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), typical damage-associated molecular pattern. Overall, our findings support radiation-mitigating potential against GI-ARS accidental exposure.

Exposure to ionizing radiation while treating malignant liver tumors causes radiation-induced hepatitis. Under electron irradiation, ascorbic acid may be a potential radioprotector. Objective. The aim of the study is conduct immunohistochemical assessment IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10 expression levels after administration in hepatitis model. Materials and Methods. Wistar rats (n=40) were divided into four groups: Group 1 (n=10) – control; 2 30 Gy; 3 before irradiation; 4 acid. One week last fraction, animals withdrawn from experiment. Liver fragments examined morphologically, immunohistochemically using ELISA method (IL-1β, IL-10). Statistical analysis obtained data was performed Post-hoc test for Kruskal-Wallis: Dunn's Test. Multiple comparisons Mann-Whitney U test. Results. Electron irradiation resulted sharp increase inflammatory factors cytokine imbalance with predominance proinflammatory markers IL-6) over anti-inflammatory ones (IL-10). In group pre-radiation acid, interleukins also exceeded control values. However, balance pro- partially preserved. Conclusion. A exposure local (total dose Gy), signs observed. statistically significant cytokines detected liver. At same time, provides partial radioprotection healthy hepatocytes, as well restoration decrease cellular infiltration.
