A recent study by Wang et al, published in the World Journal of Psychiatry, provided preventative and therapeutic strategies for comorbidity obesity depression. The gut-brain axis, which acts as a two-way communication system between gastrointestinal tract central nervous system, plays pivotal role pathogenesis these conditions. Evidence suggests that metabolic byproducts, such short-chain fatty acids, lipopolysaccharide bile are generated gut microbiota, along with neurotransmitters inflammatory mediators within modulate host's processes, neuronal regulation, immune responses through diverse mechanisms. interaction depression via axis involves disruptions microbiota balance, responses, alterations neuroendocrine system. Modulating example, ketogenic diet, use probiotics, supplementation antioxidants, offers new remedial approaches Future research explores mechanisms is needed to provide more evidence clinical treatment.

Within the pediatric population, bronchial asthma is one of most prevalent chronic respiratory system diseases. The number exacerbations, severity, and duration symptoms all have a significant impact on children's life quality. In last decades, prevention management strategies this pathology focused maintaining or even increasing pulmonary function to maximum levels in early childhood, as it has been demonstrated that functional deficits at level occurring before school age cause pathological manifestations later, adulthood. epithelium airways implicitly lung first barrier against lesions caused by pro-oxidative factors. Both oxidative antioxidative factors can be endogenous origin (produced body) exogenous (from environment diet). Good functioning antioxidant defense mechanisms from molecular tissue level, balance between anti- factors, influence occurrence compensatory epithelium, causing delay local responses stress induced inflammation (bronchial remodeling, thickening airway smooth muscles, bronchoconstriction, hyper-reactivity). These underlie pathophysiological changes asthma. Numerous studies carried out among population inclusively effectiveness antioxidants prophylaxis, slowing down preventing progression pathology. This review complements scientific articles, aiming emphasizing complexity physio-pathological pathways their importance occurrence, development, therapeutic response asthma, providing good understanding relationship being source future strategies.

Hyperglycemia significantly initiates oxidative stress in children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1DM). This study investigates the differences markers between pediatric patients T1DM and those experiencing transient hyperglycemia. In this case-control study, 42 T1DM, according to ISPAD (International Society for Pediatric Adolescent Diabetes), their healthy counterparts, aged 1-6 years old, participated. Blood samples were analyzed biomarkers such as malondialdehyde (MDA) glutathione peroxidase (GPx). There was no statistically significant association found A1c % age, BMI, insulin dose (p > 0.05). A negative correlation Se, Zn, cholesterol, GSH, GPx < 0.05), well a meaningful positive 0.001). With the global population aging, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) have posed significant physical and psychological health challenges for patients as well a substantial economic burden on society. The advancements in conservative surgical interventions MSDs been remarkable recent years; however, current treatment modalities still fall short of meeting optimal requirements patients. Recently, peroxiredoxin 6 (Prdx6) has gained considerable attention from researchers due to its antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic properties. It found that Prdx6 is involved multiple system diseases, including MSDs; exact role lacking. This study aimed summarize structure, regulatory mechanism, potential function Prdx6. These findings may demonstrate novel target inhibiting advancement MSDs.

Diabetes is a complex condition with rising global incidence, and its impact equally evident in pediatric practice. Regardless of whether we are dealing type 1 or 2 diabetes, the development complications following onset disease inevitable. Consequently, contemporary medicine must concentrate on understanding pathophysiological mechanisms driving systemic decline finding ways to address them. We particularly interested effects oxidative stress target cells organs, such as pancreatic islets, retina, kidneys, neurological cardiovascular systems. Our goal explore, using latest data from international scientific databases, relationship between persistence damage associated diabetes children. Additionally, highlight beneficial roles antioxidants vitamins, minerals, polyphenols, other bioactive molecules; mitigating pathogenic cascade, detailing how they intervene their properties. As result, our study provides comprehensive exploration key aspects stress-antioxidants-pediatric triad, expanding significance various diseases.

Diarrhea is a leading cause of illness and death in children under five years old. Severe cases diarrhea, particularly those resulting dehydration, are major factor high mortality rates. Rotavirus significant pathogen contributing to dehydrating diarrhea hospitalizations five. The aim this study was investigate the role vaccination preventing progression gastroenteritis, with focus on rotavirus-induced gastroenteritis. Material methods: present conducted within Pediatric Department Emergency Clinical Hospital “St. Apostle Andrew” Constanța, including 307 patients diagnosed acute gastroenteritis during period January 1 December 31, 2023. Results: prevalence declined age: 183 infants, 67 were between 3 old, 42 aged 7, smallest group, 15 patients, 7 16 201 did not receive Rotarix or Rotateq vaccines, while 106 completed full regimen. As for etiology disease, 160 viral enterocolitis, 142 attributed Rotavirus. An increase dehydration electrolyte imbalances observed subjects who had received preventive vaccine. Conclusion: vaccine severe that caused by Rotavirus, highlighted reduced frequency imbalances, shorter hospital stays Rotarix/Rotateq

The metabolic syndrome, made up of the sum entities that define it (obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemias and non-alcoholic hepatic steatosis) has gained an important place in research last decades. This aspect is mainly due to complexity management pediatric practice. main directions his approach therefore bring together concern counteracting noise or systemic, multiple intercurrents at physiopathological level, as well negative imprint exerted on quality life. Its appearance evolution are currently controversial topics, but influence genetic predisposition lifestyle (diet, physical activity, psychological balance) certainties.
