Abstract In the present study, a synbiotic coating of flaxseed mucilage, defatted rice bran carbohydrate, and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis BB12 was fabricated for dried mango slices (M‐P‐C). The control samples contained only probiotic bacteria without (M‐P). Several quality parameters (moisture, weight loss, shrinkage percentage, pH, firmness, color) were assessed on specific storage circumstances (25°C, relative humidity (RH) = 22%.). addition, survival evaluated under simulated gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. Abstract Evidence-based research has confirmed the role of gastrointestinal microbiota in regulating intestinal inflammation. These data have generated interest developing microbiota-based therapies for prevention and management inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Despite in-depth understanding etiology IBD, it currently lacks a cure requires ongoing management. Accumulating suggest that an aberrant microbiome, often referred to as dysbiosis, is significant environmental instigator IBD. Novel microbiome-targeted interventions including prebiotics, probiotics, fecal transplant, small molecule microbiome modulators are being evaluated therapeutic attenuate inflammation by restoring healthy composition function. In this review, effectiveness challenges microbiome-centered potential alleviate improve clinical outcomes IBD explored.

Abdominal operations may lead to post-operative bowel dysfunction, while administration of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics limit its manifestation. Τhe study aimed assess the efficacy in patients who undergone abdominal operation, terms function post-operatively. PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials (Central), Embase, US Registry clinical trials, sources grey literature were searched. The relative effect sizes estimated, we obtained ranking interventions using cumulative curves. In total, 30 studies included analysis. For outcome ileus, probiotics was superior placebo/no intervention (relative risk, RR: 0.38; 95%CI: 0.14-0.98) with highest SUCRA (surface under ranking) value (92.1%). time first flatus, (MD: -0.47; -0.78 -0.17) -0.53; -0.96 -0.09) intervention. defecation for distension hospitalization days, -3.07; -4.80 -1.34). Administration had surgery reduced prevalence defecation, distension. Synbiotics reduce flatus days.

The global prevalence of obesity currently exceeds 1 billion people and is accompanied by an increase in the aging population. Obesity share many hallmarks are leading risk factors for cardiometabolic disease premature death. Current anti-obesity pro-longevity pharmacotherapies limited side effects, warranting development novel therapies. gut microbiota plays a major role human health disease, with dysbiotic composition evident obese aged individuals. bidirectional communication system between central nervous system, known as gut-brain axis, may link to unhealthy aging. Modulating microbiome-targeted therapies, such biotics, strategy treat and/or manage promote longevity. Biotics represent material derived from living or once-living organisms, which have therapeutic effects. Pre-, pro-, syn- post-biotics beneficially modulate microbial function improve process. However, investigation biotics next-generation therapeutics has only just begun. Further research needed identify understand their mechanisms action. Investigating axis lead strategies obese, comorbid (e.g., sarcopenic obese) patient populations. This review discusses interrelationship aging, particular emphasis on microbiome, presents agents obesity, related states.

Abstract Synbiotics have been intensively studied recently to improve gut health of humans and animals. The success synergistic synbiotics depends on the compatibility prebiotic probiotic components. Certain plant extracts possess both antimicrobial properties representing a potential use in combination with probiotics health. Here, we coined term “prophybiotics” describe this combined bioactivity. current study aimed select prebiotics that are preferred as an energy source which do not inhibit growth, six strains lactic acid bacteria (LAB namely; Lactiplantibacillus plantarum , Lacticaseibacillus casei Limosilactobacillus reuteri rhamnosus Leuconostoc mesenteroides Pediococcus pentosaceus ) in-vitro identify compatible combinations for synbiotic/prophybiotic use, respectively. Their growth kinetics were profiled presence prebiotics: Inulin, Raffinose, Saccharicterpenin glucose, control, using carbohydrate free MRS broth media. Similarly, their supplemented turmeric, green tea, garlic at varying concentrations profiled. results revealed most pairs LAB. Turmeric had very little inhibitory effect LAB while tea inhibited all dose-dependent manner. Therefore, conclude turmeric broad prophybiotics, here limited synbiotics, these
