In agricultural environments, plants are often exposed to abiotic stresses including temperature extremes, salt stress, drought, and heavy metal soil contamination, which leads significant economic losses worldwide. Especially stress drought pose serious challenges since they induce ionic toxicity, osmotic oxidative in plants. A potential solution can be the application of bacteria Serratia spp. known promote plant growth under normal conditions Thus mini-review aims summarize current knowledge on promotion by (under salinity nutrient deficit) highlight areas for development field. So far, it has been proven that strains exhibit a variety traits contributing enhanced tolerance, such as phytohormone production, ACC deaminase activity, nitrogen fixation, P Zn solubilization, antioxidant properties improvement, modulation gene expression. Nevertheless, further research is needed, especially two subjects: elucidating its mechanisms action at molecular level effects indigenous microbiota and, particularly, rhizosphere. both cases, advisable use omics techniques gain in-depth insights into issues. Additionally, some may phytopathogens, therefore studies rule out this possibility recommended prior field trials. It believed improving said stimulate will increase from genus serve an eco-friendly biofertilizer sustainable agriculture more often.

The study aimed to comprehensively investigate the structural dynamics of a soil microbial community within 100-year agricultural field experiment. experimental design encompasses three distinct management practices, namely monoculture, five–year rotation, and random each with or without incorporation legumes manure. Soil communities were determined by Next-Generation Sequencing (Illumina MiSeq analysis) both V3 V4 hypervariable regions 16S rRNA gene for bacteria Archaea, as well ITS1 fungi. In all soils, dominant bacterial phyla Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Acidobacteria, Chloroflexi, orders Actinomycetales, Rhizobiales, Acidimicrobiales, Sphingomonadales. However, fungal Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Zygomycota, Pleosporales, Eurotiales, Hypocreales, Mortierellales. Compared fallow land, affected soil, reducing ratio oligotrophs (e.g. Acidobacteria Armatimonadetes) copiotrophs (Actinobacteria Gemmatimonadetes). Moreover, contributed an increased number plant growth-promoting groups (PGPB), antagonistic many (e.g., Fusarium spp.) pathogens Bukholderiales, Xanthomonadales). generally in study, there no significant differences between monoculture crop rotations. two taxa can be considered potential indicators "healthy soil": nitrifying Nitrospira spp. whose abundance was strongly dependent on nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, organic carbon, pH, PGP fungi genus Mortierellla which depended mainly nitrogen pH. Finally, most abundant especially rotation legumes, while soils did not favour these microorganisms. conclusion, various practices affect microbiota thus their ability support land productivity.

Plant-parasitic nematodes (PPNs), including root-knot (Meloidogyne spp.), cyst (Heterodera and Globodera other economically significant nematode species, pose severe threats to global agriculture. These employ diverse survival strategies, such as dormancy in cysts or robust infective juvenile stages. Consequently, their management is challenging. Traditional control methods, the use of chemical nematicides, are increasingly scrutinized because environmental health concerns. This review focuses on specific mechanisms employed by Bacillus spp., nematicidal compound production, systemic resistance induction, cuticle degradation, target nematodes. offer sustainable solutions for managing promoting soil enhancing microbial diversity nutrient cycling. An integrated approach leveraging Bacillus-based biocontrol proposed maximize efficacy agricultural sustainability.

Bacteria of the genus Bacillus and related genera (e.g., Paenibacillus, Alicyclobacillus or Brevibacillus) belong to phylum Firmicutes. Taxonomically, it is a diverse group bacteria that, date, has not been well described phylogenetically. The consists aerobic relatively anaerobic bacteria, capable spore-forming. spp. are widely distributed in environment, with particular role soil. Their abundance agricultural environment depends mainly on fertilization, but can also depend soil cultivated methods, meaning whether plants grown monoculture rotation systems. highest Firmicutes usually recorded fertilized manure. Due great cellulose one most important physiological groups among these spore-forming cellulolytic bacteria. Three key cellulases produced by required for complete degradation include endoglucanases, exoglucanases, β-glucosidases. probable independent evolution, encoded hundreds genes, which results large structural diversity enzymes. microbial its type environmental conditions such as pH, temperature, various substances including metal ions. In addition, few producing multi-enzymatic protein complexes called cellulosomes. conclusion, taxonomy needs be reorganized based on, other things, additional genetic markers. Also, ecology requires additions, especially identification physical chemical parameters affecting occurrence Finally, worth adding that despite many strains well-studied activity, still used industry, instance biodegradation bioconversion lignocellulosic waste into biogas biofuel. Therefore, research aimed at optimizing properties needed more efficient commercialization.

The immobilization of beneficial bacteria using innovative techniques such as JetCutter has garnered attention in agriculture due to its high efficiency and production rate. This study focused on immobilizing Bacillus pumilus alginate hydrogels with enhance water retention soil plant biostimulant properties. Key operational parameters, bacterial viability, auxin production, microparticle effects were evaluated. Operating at 445 rpm a flow 6.55 g s–1 was critical for optimal matrix formation. resulting dried microparticles ranged from 0.52 0.99 mm size, capacity 67% w/w. After 180 days, the cell viability 2.61 × 109 CFU mL–1, average 162.02 208.94 μg g–1 without l-tryptophan, demonstrating effectiveness this technique maintaining activity. aimed developing biofertilizer based natural polymers tool, specifically context sustainable enhancing resilience water-deficit conditions, optimization microbial formulations. approach utilizing technology producing agricultural biofertilizers represents novel application that could production.

The hypothesis that cultivating açaí in agroforestry systems (AFS) can recruit beneficial microorganisms to its rhizosphere was tested this study. For purpose, rhizospheric soil samples were collected from an AFS area. colony-forming unit (CFU) counts of the 3.5 × 106 CFU/g, with no statistically significant differences between plants (p < 0.05). Regarding PGPR characteristics, 44 isolated strains, 18% produced siderophores, 9% mineralized organic phosphate, 15% solubilized inorganic and 7% indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) antimicrobial substances. Abstract Changes in river water conditions from anthropogenic activities can be indicated by microbiota such as periphytons and bacteria. This study assessed quality the upstream Cisadane River at three sampling sites Ranca Bungur, Lido, Bogor, focusing on periphyton bacteria bioindicators two different time periods. Data analysis included community structure, assemblge pattern, pollution level determination current (2024) previous research (2007). Periphytic diatoms dominated across stations periods, with composition of genera whole community; while were primarily Aeromonas group. The change tend to diversity density organisms assemblaged aquatic biofilm. presence these biofilms suggests moderate organic River, strongly correlated nitrate orthophosphate levels. Nevertheless, it is important note that levels recent studies occur further upstream.
