A BSTRACT Functional foods incorporating probiotics, essential oils, and DHA, PhosphatidylSerine have been explored as innovative approaches to improving oral health. This study evaluates the effects of consuming two versus five HETAFU candies daily on microbial levels over eight weeks. To compare impact moderate (two candies/day) higher (five candy consumption populations, focusing Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus, Actinomycetes, Candida. total 200 participants were randomly divided into groups: Group 1 consumed daily, 2 daily. Microbial measured at baseline, weeks, 4 8 weeks using microbiological techniques. Statistical analysis included Z scores P values determine significance changes between groups. Both groups showed significant reductions in mutans Candida , with a concurrent decrease Lactobacillus Actinomycetes time. However, demonstrated greater shifts, indicating enhanced modulation microbiome consumption. Higher (five/day) provides superior benefits reducing pathogenic microbes promoting beneficial bacteria compared (two/day). suggests dose-dependent relationship, increased intake offering additional protective against imbalances. like represent promising adjunct hygiene practices.
