Autophagy plays a crucial role in the physiopathological mechanisms of diseases by regulating cellular functions and maintaining homeostasis, which has garnered extensive attention from researchers worldwide. The holistic regulation bidirectional effects acupuncture can modulate autophagy, promoting or restoring homeostasis body's internal environment to achieve therapeutic outcomes. This paper systematically reviews research progress on use for treating various via autophagy pathway, summarizes signal pathways related analyzes deficiencies present existing research. review results indicate that mechanism action dysfunction is reflected changes LC3, Beclin1, p53, autophagy-associated (ATG) protein expression, regulates signaling key proteins genes. regulatory effect capacity bidirectional: it inhibits abnormal activation prevent exacerbation injury reduce apoptosis, while also activating enhancing promote elimination inflammation oxidative stress. Further analysis suggests are insufficiently explored. Future should prioritize development more appropriate animal models, analyzing accuracy relevant specificity indicators, exploring synergistic among targets pathways, clarifying at stages evaluating efficacy modulating. offers valuable insights into acupuncture.

Background Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a prevalent health issue currently lacking optimal treatment options, with its global incidence rate increasing in recent years. Clinical studies have recently focused on the application of auriculotherapy functional gastrointestinal disorders that are accompanied by negative emotions. However, few randomized controlled trials investigated use for FD patients insomnia, leaving therapeutic efficacy and safety largely undefined. This study aims to evaluate clinical treating insomnia. Methods analysis single-center, trial involving 80 Using central randomization system, subjects randomly assigned auricular acupressure group or sham at 1:1 ratio, targeting concha region earlobe region. The primary outcome response 2 weeks, secondary outcomes include 8 sleep data assessed actigraphy, modified Dyspepsia Symptom Diary, short form-Nepean Index, Self-rated Anxiety Scale, Depression High Arousal Heart Rate Variability. Efficacy results will be evaluated baseline weeks after treatment. Adverse events monitored throughout observation period. Discussion this anticipated validate improving symptoms as well reducing emotional states. registration ClinicalTrials.gov , NCT06466044. Cancer pain management remains a significant clinical challenge. While acupuncture has shown potential in alleviating cancer pain, its underlying mechanisms are not yet fully understood. This study investigates the neurophysiological acupuncture's analgesic effects using multimodal bioelectrical signal analysis. Fifteen patients underwent while wearing portable, multi-sensor devices to capture signals. Pain levels were assessed Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) before and during needle retention. Neurophysiological changes evaluated Principal Component Analysis, Joint Time-Frequency power spectrum analysis, spectral dynamic functional network There was reduction NRS scores from pre-treatment retention period, indicating relief. component analysis showed differences signals between these periods. Power revealed decreased Functional demonstrated connectivity strength electroencephalography electromyography Spectral identified distinct real-time staged characteristics of signals, with correlation confirming positive relationship score alterations. Acupuncture alleviates by reducing injured tissues brain, immediate effects. Prolonging may enhance therapeutic outcomes. These findings provide new insights into basis effects, supporting role management.

In previous studies, acupuncture was effective in the treatment of patients with chronic pain that unresponsive to conventional therapies. However, proportion a real-world setting who regain normal health after 1 year, following De-Qi is unknown. This an observational prospective study 354 new family medical practice between 2015 and 2018. Patients self-assessed using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Short Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36) before at 3- 12-months follow-up. VAS SF-36 components were compared for improvements therapeutic effect sizes. Propensity score matching employed avoid bias by confounding variables. The participation rate 29%, median age 50 years (range 20-79), 65% females, duration 18 months (6-360), number treatments 6 (1-27). initial intensity 6.2 (SD 2.5) improved 4.0 3 3.2 12 (p < .001, large size); scores also improved. 75% showed strong responses, 58% reaching complete cure 17% achieving near-normal health. aged >65 responded well ≥6 associated stronger responses than 1-5. Hill criteria analysis suggested causation over association. (median months), treatments, sustained reduction improvements. Most attained Norwegian national standards (complete cure) 12-months.

Acupuncture, rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), serves as a complementary and alternative therapeutic modality that involves the insertion of needles into specific body points to stimulate treat variety conditions. Over time, acupuncture has garnered global acceptance, progressively addressing an increasing spectrum medical disorders. The integration nanotechnology holds considerable potential improve drug delivery efficacy broaden scope acupuncture's applications, providing novel opportunities for investigating underlying principles meridians acupoints. A bibliometric analysis application over past two decades (2004-2024) highlights emerging research trends focal field. This article provides overview history, biological mechanisms, preparation methods, clinical status nanoacupuncture, with focus on analyzing applications nanoacupuncture technology. Nanotechnology enables visualization imaging acupoints, facilitating deeper understanding physiological mechanisms behind effects. Modified incorporating can serve dual purposes: functioning sensors real-time monitoring various parameters, thereby supporting disease diagnosis enhancing through specialized interventions. Furthermore, nanotechnology-enhanced act platforms targeted working tandem responsive nanoparticles treatment. Despite its promising applicability, faces inherent limitations challenges must be addressed.
