Antioxidants have been investigated for their potential to prevent cardiovascular disease (CVD); however, association with mortality risk in patients CVD has not thoroughly evaluated. The aim of this study was assess the relationship between individual antioxidants and composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) death CVD. This included 1,395 participants from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (2001-2010). Cox proportional hazards models were employed estimate hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) (including vitamins A, C, E, selenium, carotenoids zinc) CDAI levels relation all-cause death. Additionally, restricted cubic splines (RCS) utilized further investigate nonlinear relationships. Individual antioxidants, including vitamin C inversely associated both CVD-cause As CDAI, compared first tertile(T1) fully adjusted HR third tertile (T3) 0.62 (95% CI: 0.46, 0.85). For mortality, individuals T3 also exhibited a significantly reduced risk, an 0. 58 35,0.97). RCS analysis revealed linear while non-linear, inverted L-shaped observed mortality. Higher are cardiovascular-cause These findings suggest that increasing intake may serve as strategy improving outcomes population.

Background: Increasing evidence has revealed oxidative stress as an essential risk factor in the development of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) is important tool for assessing capacity. However, association between CDAI and RA still unclear. Method: The data 26501 participants from NHANES database 2003-2018 cycle were collected to investigate relationship risk. Logistic regression was used examine odds ratio (OR) Restricted cubic spline (RCS) utilized test potential nonlinear relationship. Stratified analysis sensitivity also performed strengthen reliability results. Results: Multivariate logistic with full adjustment covariates showed that OR (95% confidence interval (CI)) 0.974 (0.955, 0.993). A negative correlation identified by RCS (p nonlinearity=0.046). In both subgroup analysis, this present. Conclusion: Our work suggests higher antioxidants intake correlated a lower incidence, thus providing some recommendations daily diets. Further clinical studies are acquired better validate current findings.

Background Existing studies on the association between composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) and all-cause mortality are controversial. We aimed to analyze of CDAI with mortality, determine influence gender this association. Methods The data adult participants (age ≥ 18) from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) cycles spanning 2001 2018 were analyzed. NHANES-issued identifiers for enabled linkage NHANES Public Use Linked Mortality File. Results study encompassed a sample 15,651 individuals. mean was 0.52 ± 6.06. restricted cubic spline revealed that hazard ratio (HR) decreased significantly increasing CDAI. However, negative existed only when less than 5. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed compared first quartile, HR in third fourth quartiles (both p < 0.001), -value trend test <0.001. In subgroup analysis, notably strong risk observed men ( interaction <0.001). Conclusion Higher is associated reduced exclusively males, underscoring substantial relationship.

Background Endometriosis (EM) is a chronic gynecological disorder characterized by the growth of endometrial-like tissue outside uterus, leading to pain and infertility. Recent studies suggest that antioxidants may play protective role in development EM. However, precise connection between composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI)—a key measure antioxidants—and EM risk remains unclear. This study aims explore relationship CDAI using data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), potentially guiding interventions for prevention. Methods analyzed NHANES spanning 1999 2006. To investigate EM, variety statistical techniques were employed, including weighted multiple logistic regression model, smooth curve fitting, machine learning analysis, subgroup analyses. Results After controlling potential confounding variables, results indicated an inverse (OR = 0.92, 95% CI 0.86–0.98, p 0.011). Compared participants lowest quartile (Q1), odds ratios (OR) higher other quartiles as follows: Q2 0.84, 0.45–1.57, 0.576), Q3 0.64, 0.33–1.24, 0.172), Q4 0.47, 0.26–0.87, 0.019). Among various components CDAI, changes vitamin A, E, carotene independently associated with occurrence while both LASSO RF algorithms consistently identified selenium significant factors. Furthermore, analyses did not reveal interactions age, body mass index, smoking, drinking, diabetes, or hypertension. Conclusion The findings this extensive cross-sectional indicate clear negative linear correlation American adult women. It therefore recommended women incorporate greater proportion antioxidant-rich foods into their diet assist prevention
