Owing to long-term treatment, frequent consultations, and complications, the evaluation of patients with head neck cancer (HNC) must be improved. This study explored an opportunity for improving patient experience (PE) HNC achieve a patient-centered, integrative model based on needs. The comprised four phases: (1) systematic literature review PE factors quality life (QoL) establishment factor categories as framework, (2) current or tools, (3) identification potential items needs by conducting user research, (4) suggestion through expert validation. As result, 39 were initially identified from research. After two survey rounds experts, 25 suggested items. These underscore importance highlighting patient's participation, medical staff's comprehensive information delivery, empathy, collaborative communication, hospital's support communication channels, environment emotional support, education program, satisfaction data management. that consider diverse perspectives stakeholders involved in treatment will contribute patient-centered care (PCC).

Background: Treatments for oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCCs) often result in significant aesthetic and functional issues, impacting patients' quality of life (QoL). The COVID-19 pandemic's mask mandates may have provided psychosocial benefits by concealing facial disfigurements, potentially reducing stigma. This study aimed to assess the impact mask-wearing on QoL patients surgically treated OSCC. Methods: single-center, cross-sectional study, conducted from June 2022 December 2023, included who had completed their treatment returned home before or during mandate. They answered a questionnaire using four-point Likert scale evaluate mask-wearing's influence it physical appearance, tumor localization, radiotherapy, end date. Results: analysis found high internal consistency among questions (Cronbach's alpha = 0.931). The number of older adults with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is continuously increasing. Older HNSCC patients may be more vulnerable to radiotherapy-related toxicities, so that extrapolation available normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) models this population not appropriate.
