Abstract Background Metallothionein 2A (MT2A) plays a significant role in carcinogenesis and metastasis, while its function glioma remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the mechanisms of MT2A glioma. Methods Raw data pertaining were collected from Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas database The Cancer explore expression MT2A. In vitro vivo experiments conducted elucidate underlying molecular involved cells. Results was elevated patients with certain clinical characteristics, high levels not only associated poor prognosis but also served as valuable prognostic indicator overexpression increased proliferative, migratory, invasive capabilities cells, upregulated epithelial‒mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related proteins, including TGF-β1, Vimentin, Twist1, Slug vivo, whereas downregulation had opposite effects. Knockdown induced G2/M phase arrest enhanced apoptosis Conclusions promotes progression by regulating cell proliferation, migration, invasion well EMT process, suggesting potential utility marker for

Glioblastoma, a grade IV astrocytoma, typically has poor prognosis, with most patients succumbing within eighteen months of diagnosis and few experiencing long-term survival. Focused ultrasound, an emerging localized therapy, shown promising results in early-phase studies for glioblastoma by improving the uptake temozolomide carboplatin. The blood-brain barrier is critical to homeostasis regulating movement substances between bloodstream central nervous system. While this helps prevent infections from bloodborne pathogens, it also hinders delivery cancer therapies gliomas. Combining focused ultrasound circulating microbubbles enhances local permeability, facilitating intratumoral systemic therapies. purpose study was identify new therapeutics treatment drug via ultrasound. This review provides overview current standard care newly diagnosed recurrent glioblastoma, identifies indicated treatment, discusses key aspects microbubble resonators, describes devices under evaluation human trials, concludes perspective future studies.
