Colorectal
cancer
(CRC)

mortality

mainly

Introduction
Patients

ABSTRACT:
Omega-3
fatty
acids
(OFAs)
are
essential
macromolecules
which
frequently
used
to
provide
nutritional
support
in
cancer
patients.
They
have
been
recognised
as
immunonutrients,
they
play
important
role
strengthening
the
immune
responses
against
various
disease
including
cancer.
OFAs
such
eicosapentaenoic
acid
(EPA)
and
docosahexaenoic
(DHA)
shown
great
promise
prevention
its
management.
Epidemiological
studies
demonstrated
a
correlation
between
fish
consumption
reduced
risk,
evidence
suggests
that
increased
is
linked
lower
risk
of
cancer,
potentially
due
high
levels
bioactive
fish.
Experimental
revealed
capable
modulating
cell
signalling
pathways,
gene
expression
influencing
membrane
composition,
