Brain tumors pose a significant challenge in medical research due to their associated morbidity and mortality. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the premier imaging technique for analyzing these without invasive procedures. Recent years have witnessed remarkable progress brain tumor detection, classification, progression analysis using MRI data, largely fueled by advancements deep learning (DL) models growing availability of comprehensive datasets. This article investigates cutting-edge DL applied data diagnosis prognosis. The study also analyzes experimental results from past two decades along with technical challenges encountered. developed datasets prognosis, efforts behind regulatory framework, inconsistencies benchmarking, clinical translation are highlighted. Finally, this identifies long-term trends several promising avenues future critical area.
