The capacity to deliver essential health services has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly due lockdown restrictions. Telemedicine provides a safe, efficient, and effective alternative that addresses needs of patients system. However, there remain implementation challenges barriers patient adoption in resource-limited settings as Philippines. This mixed methods study aimed describe perspectives experiences with telemedicine services, explore factors influence use satisfaction. An online survey consisting items adapted from Consumer Assessment Healthcare Providers Systems (CAHPS) Clinician & Group Adult Visit Survey 4.0 (beta) Telehealth Usability Questionnaire (TUQ) was completed 200 participants aged 18 65 years residing A subsample 16 interviewed provide further insights on their experiences. We used descriptive statistics analyze data thematically analyzed interviews guided principles grounded theory.Participants were generally satisfied telemedicine, found it be an efficient convenient means receiving healthcare. About 3 5 perceived affordable, some finding costs high comparable in-person consultations. Our results suggest preferred especially cases where they feel condition is not urgent does need extensive physical examination. Safety against COVID-19, privacy, accessibility, availability multiple communication platforms contributed satisfaction telemedicine. Negative perceptions quality care service related provider, inherent limitations diagnosis management patients, for mental conditions, poor connectivity other technological issues satisfaction.Telemedicine viewed affordable care. Expectations outcomes managed providers increase satisfaction. Continued will require improvements technology infrastructure technical support training performance evaluation ensure service, better meet needs, integration remote areas have limited access medical services. Telemedicine, realize its full potential, should centered equity - addressing reducing disparities across population groups settings, providing all.

Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) is a rights-based approach that aims to provide equitable health services and participation opportunities for people with disabilities. Telerehabilitation has emerged as potential methodology delivering care within the CBR framework. However, accessibility of telerehabilitation presents unique challenges children disabilities (CWD) in communities low socioeconomic status. This phenomenological qualitative study explores barriers facilitators influence families CWD method urban poor communities. Nine focus group discussions (FGDs) were conducted involving 75 primary caregivers CWD. Inductive thematic analysis using NVivo software was employed analyze collected data, revealing four themes impact Telerehabilitation: Economic Social Resources, Self-Competency Affecting Transition, Flexible Service Delivery Mechanism, Safety Security Threat Participation. The findings emphasize intricate interplay factors influencing from low-income households. Actionable strategies address these include providing affordable technology internet access, offering training support families, developing culturally sensitive resources, establishing safety protocols, advocating inclusive policies funding mechanisms. Collaboration among healthcare professionals, policymakers, essential building resilient system prioritizes needs living poverty. insights gained this can inform development targeted interventions systems ensure no child left behind accessing quality despite digital divides.

Hyper-personalized medicine represents the cutting edge of healthcare, which aims to tailor treatment and prevention strategies uniquely each individual. Unlike traditional approaches, often adopt a one-size-fits-all or even broadly personalized approach based on broad genetic categories, hyper-personalized considers an individual's comprehensive health data by integrating unique biological, genetic, lifestyle, environmental influences. This method goes beyond simple profiling recognizing that outcomes are influenced complex interactions among our environment, daily routines, physiological processes responses.Central is integration lifestyle factors. Lifestyle habits, such as diet (Dalwood et al., 2020; Genel Marx Hepsomali & Groeger, 2021; Dinu 2022; Yang Sadler 2024), exercise (Chow Qiu Ross D'Onofrio 2023; Isath Mahindru Ashcroft 2024; Ponzano sleep patterns (Hepsomali Baranwal Eshera Lim Sletten Uccella, Weinberger 2023), directly impact health. Our objective was clarify changes facility selection reasons among Japanese nurses after changing jobs personal attributes influencing selection. Methods: In January 2023, an online survey conducted licensed practical nurses, registered midwives, public health Japan. items included (age sex), information on ≤five employment facilities, reasons. variations by number were analyzed using a generalized linear model with binomial distribution. A logistic regression analysis for workplace independent dependent variables, respectively. Results: total, 721 participants included; 90.8% selected hospitals their first place of employment. As changed jobs, they increasingly non-hospital including homes, nursery schools, government agencies. With multiple job changes, “good location commuting”, salary”, “convenient working style”. Among attributes, “age”, “sex”, “age at facility”, “educational background”, “number children”, “living alone” influenced choice Conclusions: Considering study results, country-specific demographic trends, medical policy nursing-shortage-related causes, managers policymakers should devise appropriate conditions develop recruitment strategies, especially situations severe shortages. Introduction Chronic heart failure (HF) is a global health issue, with telemonitoring emerging as key strategy for elderly patient management, aligning the Universal Health Care Law. Objective To assess impact of on quality life, hospitalization rate, and mortality rate among patients chronic HF. Methods A rapid review 11 studies, including randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental, prospective, retrospective studies from 2013 to 2023, was performed using CINAHL. The encompassed 14,993 HF hospital homecare settings. Results hospitalization, readmission, varies widely across studies. Three reported life improvements in intervention group, one showed no significant change, most revealed difference all-cause hospitalizations readmissions between control groups. Mortality comparisons also differences. Discussion conducted 2020 primarily high-income regions, highlight telemonitoring's growing role managing (CHF) patients, yet its applicability remains limited by lack research Asia Africa. While systems promise improving adherence, engagement, potentially reducing mortality, their effectiveness readmission rates inconsistent, likely influenced variability system design characteristics. Limitations such reliance single database, small number underrepresentation data further constrain generalizability conclusiveness findings. Conclusion Telemonitoring complex, promising tool CHF management. enhance care fulfill universal healthcare goals, policymakers practitioners should consider these insights create precise, effective strategies.

Background Telehealth adoption for HIV care continuum accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study explored telehealth usage, motivators and barriers to adoption, implementation challenges pandemic among people living with HIV, individuals at risk community-based organisations (CBOs) in Asia. Methods cross-sectional was conducted June December 2022 using an online quantitative survey (n = 787) 744), semi-structured qualitative interviews CBOs across nine countries/territories Responses from were reported descriptively, narratives used identify main themes associated engagement configurations by CBOs. Results Regionally, HIV-related services 56.8% of 66.5% risk, 53.6–55.9% increasing their usage 2021. Phone consultations, health information sharing video communications most commonly accessed users. users trusted mobile applications or software provided clinics/healthcare providers/local uptake included saving travelling time, improved access prevention outside medical appointments; data privacy concerns lack technology accessibility, which similarly acknowledged local Lack resources support services, policies on treatment impeded adequately delivering through telehealth. Conclusions highlights potential while identifying critical its sustained integration. Addressing these issues (e.g. privacy, infrastructure) would be essential optimise improve outcomes region.
