The raw and steamed products of ginseng exhibit different efficacy, elucidation the underlying chemical transformation is significant for their rational application quality control. This work was designed to holistically depict variation Panax (PG), P. quinquefolius (PQ), notoginseng (PN) induced by steaming, unveil steaming-associated markers diagnostic differentiating between processed products, following a three-step strategy: 1) systematic ginsenosides characterization hybrid scan (namely HDDIDDA) available on Vion™ ion mobility-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer coupled with reversed-phase ultra-high performance liquid chromatography; 2) holistic depiction discovery potential pattern recognition untargeted metabolomics analysis; 3) construction steaming-induced network combined desorption electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry imaging (DESI-MSI). Consequently, 542 were characterized from PG/PQ/PN. Steaming at 1–10 h could cause variation, separately 26, 28, 18 found steaming PG, PQ, PN. Both the roots and leaves of American ginseng contain ginsenosides polyphenols. In recent years, the research and application of ginseng, a famous valuable medicinal herb, has received extensive attention at home abroad. However, with gradual increase in demand for discrepancies are inevitable when using traditional manual method grading appearance quality ginseng. Addressing these challenges was primary focus this study. This study obtained batch ginseng samples enhanced dataset by data augmentation, based on which we refined YOLOv8 network three key dimensions: firstly, used C2f-DCNv2 module SimAM mechanism to augment model’s effectiveness recognizing features, followed use Slim-Neck combination (GSConv + VoVGSCSP) lighten model These improvements constitute our proposed DGS-YOLOv8 model, achieved an impressive mAP50 95.3% detection. Insomnia affects one-third of the world’s population; negative effects insomnia are significant, and traditional medications have numerous side cause considerable suffering. This has aroused interest in obtaining sleep-improving substances from foods. study conducted a comprehensive literature review using Web Science PubMed with keywords like “sleep”, “insomnia”, “food”. A subsequent summary revealed that certain foods, including milk, Ziziphus jujuba, Lactuca sativa, ginseng, Schisandra chinensis, Juglans regia, etc., purported to enhance sleep quality by prolonging duration, reducing latency, alleviating anxiety. The mechanisms these foods’ mainly occur via central nervous system, particularly gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)ergic 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT)ergic systems. Although this supports fact they potential, further research is needed. There also issues such as more limited fewer mechanisms, pharmacokinetic studies, models being involved. These need be addressed future adequately address problem insomnia. It hoped will contribute into foods properties and, future, provide an effective natural alternative for those seeking medication.

This mini-review explores current understanding miRNA-mediated regulation discusses controlling ginsenoside production through miRNA manipulation.
