This review comprehensively evaluates the effects of physical exercise on oxidative and nitrosative stress, mainly focusing role antioxidants. Using a narrative synthesis approach, data from empirical studies, reviews, systematic meta-analyses published between 2004 2024 were collated databases like PubMed, EBSCO (EDS), Google Scholar, culminating in inclusion 41 studies. The quality these studies was rigorously assessed to ensure clarity objectives, coherence arguments, comprehensive literature coverage, depth critical analysis. Findings revealed that moderate enhances antioxidant defenses through hormesis, while excessive may exacerbate stress. also highlights natural dietary antioxidants are beneficial, high-dose supplements could impede positive adaptations exercise. In conclusion, calls for more focused research tailored nutrition plans further understand complex interactions optimize health outcomes athletes general population.

Abstract Sarcopenia lowers the quality‐of‐life for millions of people across world, as accelerated loss skeletal muscle mass and function contributes to both age‐ disease‐related frailty. Physical activity remains only proven therapy sarcopenia date, but alternatives are much sought after manage this progressive disorder in individuals who unable exercise. Mitochondria have been widely implicated etiology increasingly suggested attractive therapeutic targets help restore perturbed balance between protein synthesis breakdown that underpins atrophy. Reviewing current literature, we note mitochondrial bioenergetic changes generally interpreted intrinsic dysfunction renders cells incapable making sufficient ATP fuel synthesis. Based on reported effects interventions, however, argue observed may instead reflect an adaptation pathologically decreased energy expenditure sarcopenic muscle. Discrimination these mechanistic possibilities will be crucial improving management sarcopenia.

Skeletal muscle atrophy, characterized by the loss of mass and function, can result from disuse, aging, disease, drug. Exercise preconditioning—a form exercise training performed before these harmful threats—induces notable remodeling extensive biochemical adaptations in skeletal muscle, creating a protective phenotype fibers, thus serving as an effective intervention for preventing atrophy. Here, we review current understanding relating to how preconditioning protects damage caused inactivity, sarcopenia, or pharmacological intervention, with emphasis on cellular mechanisms involved. Key highlighted making significant contribution effects fibers include mitochondria; expression cytoprotective proteins such HSP72, SOD2, SESN2, PGC-1α AMPK; regulation oxidative stress. Background Oxidative Balance Score (OBS) is a tool for assessing the oxidative stress-related exposures of diet and lifestyle. The study aimed to investigate association between OBS low muscle mass. Methods Overall, 6,307 individuals over age 18 were assessed using data from 2011 2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Weighted logistic regression models used, together with adjusted models. Sarcopenia, the age-related decline in muscle mass and function, poses a significant health challenge as global population ages. Mitochondrial dysfunction is key factor sarcopenia, evidenced by role of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS) biogenesis dynamics, well mitophagy. Resistance exercise training (RET) well-established intervention for sarcopenia; however, its effects on mitochondria aging skeletal muscles remain unclear. This review aims to elucidate relationship between dynamics with specific focus implications RET. Although aerobic (AET) has traditionally been viewed more effective enhancement, emerging evidence suggests that RET may also confer beneficial effects. Here, we highlight potential modulate mtROS, drive biogenesis, optimize promote mitophagy muscles. Understanding this interplay offers insights combating sarcopenia preserving individuals.

Objective: This bibliometric analysis and review aimed to examine the current research status trends in combination of nutrition exercise training for sarcopenia.
