Mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) are involved in the maintenance and regeneration of a large variety tissues due to their stemness multi-lineage differentiation capability. Harnessing these advantageous features, flurry clinical trials have focused on MSCs treat different pathologies, but only few protocols received regulatory approval so far. Among various causes hindering MSCs' efficacy is emergence cellular senescence, which has been correlated with specific characteristics, such as morphological epigenetic alterations, DNA damage, ROS production, mitochondrial dysfunction, telomere shortening, non-coding RNAs, loss proteostasis, peculiar senescence-associated secretory phenotype. Several strategies investigated for delaying or even hopefully reverting onset assessed by senescent phenotype MSCs. Here, authors reviewed most updated literature potential particular emphasis current future therapeutic approaches aimed at senescence and/or extending functional lifespan stem cells.

Metabolic-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD) is a clinical-pathological scenario that occurs due to the accumulation of triglycerides in hepatocytes which considered significant cause liver conditions and contributes an increased risk death worldwide. Even though possible causes MAFLD can involve interaction genetics, hormones, nutrition, lifestyle (diet sedentary lifestyle) most influential factor developing this condition. Polyphenols comprise many natural chemical compounds be helpful managing metabolic diseases. Therefore, aim review was investigate impact oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, role polyphenols MAFLD. Some reverse part damage related or among them are anthocyanin, baicalin, catechin, curcumin, chlorogenic acid, didymin, epigallocatechin-3-gallate, luteolin, mangiferin, puerarin, punicalagin, resveratrol, silymarin. These have actions reducing plasma enzymes, body mass index, waist circumference, adipose visceral indices, lipids, glycated hemoglobin, insulin resistance, HOMA index. They also reduce nuclear factor-KB (NF-KB), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), blood pressure, fat content, steatosis fibrosis. On other hand, they improve HDL-c, adiponectin levels, fibrogenesis markers. results show promising prevention treatment

The environmental pollution poses a serious global health risk, contributing to high morbidity and mortality rates. Neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Schizophrenia, ALS, Huntington's disease, are increasingly prevalent characterized by both structural functional abnormalities in neurons of the brain spinal cord. Understanding neuro-impact toxins is crucial for developing effective prevention intervention strategies. This review article investigates complex interactions between neurological health, focusing on their role development progression neurodegenerative neuropsychiatric disorders. Key mechanisms include oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and, disruption neurotransmitter systems. It highlights pathways through which these exert effects, presents epidemiological evidence linking toxin exposure discusses potential public implications. By elucidating connections, paper aims enhance understanding determinants health.

Background Magnesium deficiency and low levels of the anti-aging protein Klotho have been independently associated with various age-related diseases. The Depletion Score (MDS) is recognized as a more valuable reliable predictor body magnesium status than traditional clinical markers such serum urine magnesium. However, relationship between remains unexplored. This study aimed to investigate association depletion, quantified by MDS, in US adults. Methods We analyzed data from 11,387 participants aged 40–79 years National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2007–2016. Participants were divided into three groups based on MDS: (0–1 points), middle (2 high (3–5 reflecting cumulative risks depletion derived diuretic use, proton pump inhibitors, renal function, alcohol intake. Serum measured using validated ELISA assay. Sample-weighted multivariable linear regression models used examine MDS levels, adjusting for age, sex, race, socioeconomic status, lifestyle factors (smoking, use), parameters (body mass index, blood pressure, lipid levels), energy Results weighted average concentrations decreased significantly across (low: 864.50, middle: 805.67, high: 755.02 pg./mL; p < 0.0001). After full adjustment, compared group, had lower ( β = −35.49, 95% CI: −62.29 −8.69; −64.82, −115.30 −14.34, respectively; trend 0.003). inverse remained consistent subgroups, particularly strong relationships observed individuals BMI <25, current smokers, those income. Conclusion provides novel evidence an new indicator large, representative sample These findings suggest that monitoring via could help identify at risk accelerated aging, prompting interventions dietary adjustments or supplementation high-risk populations. Further research warranted elucidate mechanisms underlying this its implications

Aging is a multifactorial process influenced by genetic predisposition and lifestyle choices. Environmental exposures are too often overlooked. pollutants—ranging from airborne particulate matter heavy metals to endocrine disruptors microplastics—accelerate biological aging. Oxidative stress major molecular initiating event, driving inflammation toxicity across levels. We detail the mechanisms which pollutants enhance reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. This oxidative inflicts damage on DNA, proteins, lipids, accelerating telomere shortening, dysregulating autophagy, ultimately epigenetic age acceleration. For instance, exposure polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, pesticides has been associated with increased DNA methylation age. Early-life factors such as tobacco alcohol consumption further contribute accelerated The cumulative loss of healthy life years caused these can conceivably reach between 5 10 per person. Addressing pollutant-induced aging through regulatory measures, changes, therapeutic interventions essential mitigate their detrimental impacts, extending healthspan improving quality in populations.
