Abstract
Sulfur
(S)
is
an
essential
macronutrient
for
plant
growth
and
metabolism.
SULTR2;1
a
low-affinity
sulfate
transporter
facilitating
the
long-distance
transport
of
in
Arabidopsis.
The
physiological
function
life
cycle
still
needs
to
be
determined.
Therefore,
we
analyzed
transport,
S-containing
metabolite
accumulation
using
Arabidopsis
disruption
lines,
sultr2;1–1
sultr2;1–2,
from
seedling
mature
stages
clarify
metabolic
roles
SULTR2;1.
We
observed
that
distribution
stems
was
affected
sultr2;1
mutants,
resulting
decreased
levels
sulfate,
cysteine,
glutathione
(GSH)
total
S
stems,
flowers
siliques;
however,
GSH
increased
rosette
leaves.
This
suggested
role
leaves
primary
stem.
In
addition,
mutants
unexpectedly
bolted
earlier
than
wild-type
without
affecting
biomass.
Correlation
between
bolting
timing
leaf
or
limited
early
stem
can
trigger
bolting.
Overall,
this
study
demonstrated
critical
maintaining
aerial
part
transitioning
vegetative
reproductive
phase.

Abstract
Cannabis
sativa
L.,
one
of
the
oldest
cultivated
crops,
has
a
complex
domestication
history
due
to
its
diverse
uses
for
fibre,
seed,
oil,
and
drugs,
wide
geographic
distribution.
This
review
explores
how
human
selection
shaped
biology
hemp
drug-type
Cannabis,
focusing
on
acquisition
utilization
nitrogen
phosphorus,
resulting
changes
in
source–sink
relations
shape
their
contrasting
phenology.
Hemp
been
optimized
rapid,
slender
growth
nutrient
efficiency,
whereas
cultivars
have
selected
compact
with
large
phytocannabinoid-producing
female
inflorescences.
Understanding
these
use
ontogenetic
differences
will
enhance
our
general
understanding
resource
allocation
plants.
Knowledge
gained
comparison
other
model
species,
such
as
tomato,
rice,
or
Arabidopsis
can
help
inform
crop
improvement
sustainability
cannabis
industry.

Abstract
Nitrogen
(N)

limiting

productivity

requirements

species

genotypes.

mechanistic
basis

N
responsiveness
by
comparing
contrasting
genotypes
could
inform
development
selection
varieties
lower
demands,
or
agronomic
practices

sustain
yields
inputs.
Given
established
role
millets
in
ensuring
climate-resilient
food
nutrition
security,
we
investigated
physiological
genetic
nitrogen
foxtail
millet
(Setaria
italica
L.).
We
had
previously
identified
genotypic
variants
linked
responsiveness,
here
dissect
trait
examining
molecular
behaviour
responsive
(NRp-SI58)
non-responsive
(NNRp-SI114)
accessions
at
high
low
N.
Under
N,
NRp-SI58
allocates
significantly
more
biomass
nodes,
internodes
roots,
developing
grains,
effective
remobilizing
flag
leaf
compared
NNRp-SI114.
Post-anthesis
gene
expression
suggests
that
differences
induce
much
higher
transcript
abundance
NNRp-SI114
than
NRp-SI58,
large
proportion
which
potentially
regulated
APETALA2
(AP2)
transcription
factors.
Overall,
study
provides
novel
insights
into
regulation
manipulation
S.
italica.
