The North China Plain has a typical winter wheat-summer corn double-cropping pattern. effects of nutrient deficiency conditions on the root characteristics and yield summer in system were studied for four years. Long-term monotonous fertilization patterns undermine crop rotation systems are detrimental to sustainability agricultural production. To complement development rational strategies by exploring response deficiencies, an experiment was conducted randomized complete block design consisting five treatments with three replicates each treatment: (1) adequate supply nitrogen phosphate fertilizers potash-deficient treatment (T1); (2) potash phosphorus-deficient (T2); (3) phosphorus nitrogen-deficient (T3); (4) nutrient-sufficient growth (T4); (5) no-fertilizer (CK). results showed that different had significant length density (RLD), surface area (RSAD), dry weight (RDWD) corn. At physiological maturity stage (R6), indexes RLD, RSAD, RDWD significantly higher 0-20 cm soil layer T4 compared CK, increase 86.2%, 131.4%, 100.0%, respectively. Similarly, 20-40 layer, 85.7%, 61.3%, 50.0% than varied differences observed other nutrient-deficient treatments. However, there no difference among 40-60 except T4, whose index difference. fresh matter T3, T2, T1 increased degrees CK. In addition, these affected annual crops, which 20.96%, 21.95%, 8.14% T1, respectively, spike number grains per 10.8% 8.3% those led yields. 1000-kernel 9.5%, 8.8%, 7.4% whereas determining fertilizer, fertilizer effect potassium fertilizer. This provides theoretical basis stability system.
