Exploring the sugar and amino acid content variability influence of thermal processing on these in soybeans can help optimize their utilization animal feed. This study examined 209 samples harvested 2020 55 2021 from across U.S. to assess variability. Harvest regions included East Corn Belt, West Mid-South, Coast, Southeast In addition contents, protein, oil, seed size were also analyzed. Samples evaluated for contents before after autoclaving seeds at 105–110 °C 15 min. For 2020, sucrose (4.45 g 100 g−1) stachyose (1.34 most prevalent sugars. 2021, L-arginine (9.82 g−1), leucine (5.29 glutamate (4.90 acids. Heat treatment resulted an 8.47%, 20.88%, 11.18%, 1.46% median loss free lysine, sucrose, glucose, fructose. study’s insights into heat-induced changes nutritional composition provide a reference improving soybean quality assessment optimizing its use feed formulations

Background: The quality of soybeans is reflected in the seed coat color, which indicates soybean and commercial value. Researchers have identified genes related to color various plants. However, research on regulation rare. Methods: In this study, four lines coats with different colors (medium yellow 14, black, green, brown) were selected from F2:5 population, Beinong 108 as female parent green bean male parent, dynamic changes anthocyanins stained 4-dimethylaminocinnamaldehyde (DMACA) during grain maturation process (20 days drum harvest). Through RNA-seq colored at 30 50 after seeding, we can further understand key pathways gene modules between colors. Results: DMACA revealed that black produce first deepest staining. Clustering principal component analysis (PCA) data divided eight samples into two groups, resulting 16,456 DEGs, including 5359 TFs. GO KEGG enrichment analyses flavonoid biosynthesis, starch sucrose metabolism, carotenoid circadian rhythm significantly enriched. We also conducted statistical expression pattern differentially expressed transcription factors. Based weighted coexpression network (WGCNA), seven specific connectivity functional annotation within calculated, 21 candidate identified, six factor (TF) three pathway genes. Conclusions: These findings provide a theoretical basis for an in-depth understanding molecular mechanisms underlying differences new genetic resources.

Seed size/weight plays an important role in determining crop yield, yet only few genes controlling seed size have been characterized soybean. Here, we perform a genome-wide association study and identify major quantitative trait locus (QTL), named GmSW17 (Seed Width 17), on chromosome 17 that determine soybean width/weight natural population. encodes ubiquitin-specific protease, ortholog to UBP22, belonging the protease (USPs/UBPs) family. Further functional investigations reveal interacts with GmSGF11 GmENY2 form deubiquitinase (DUB) module, which influences H2Bub levels negatively regulates expression of GmDP-E2F-1, thereby inhibiting G1-to-S transition. Population analysis demonstrates undergo artificial selection during domestication but has not fixed modern breeding. In summary, our identifies predominant gene related weight, providing potential advantages for high-yield breeding

Red crown rot (RCR) disease caused by Calonectria ilicicola negatively impacts soybean yield and quality. Unfortunately, the knowledge of genetic architecture RCR resistance in soybeans is limited. In this study, 299 diverse accessions were used to explore their diversity RCR, mine for candidate genes via emergence rate (ER), survival (SR), severity (DS) a multi-locus random-SNP-effect mixed linear model GWAS. All had brown necrotic lesions on primary root, with five genotypes identified as resistant. Nine single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers detected underlie response (ER, SR, DS). Two SNPs colocalized at least two traits form haplotype block which possessed nine genes. Based annotation qRT-PCR, three genes, namely Glyma.08G074600, Glyma.08G074700, Glyma.12G043600, are suggested modulate RCR. The findings from study could serve foundation breeding RCR-tolerant varieties, be validated deepen our understanding

As complex quantitative traits, soybean seed oil and protein contents are governed by dynamic proteome networks that remain largely unknown. Here, we investigated the changes of during maturation across two varieties with contrasting content. Through optimizing detectability low-abundance proteins utilizing library-free data-independent acquisition (directDIA) mass spectrometry, unprecedentedly identified 7414 3975 groups (PGs), substantially expanding proteome. Among PGs, 1391 differentially accumulated between varieties. By comparing abundance PGs varieties, core periphery seeds revealed variations in content primarily attributed to peripheral proteome, which significantly fluctuated developmental stages. Our work presents a proteomic atlas underlying variation provides insight into mechanisms regulating soybean.

This study presents an advanced approach for the comprehensive analysis of low-abundance proteins in soybean seeds, addressing challenges posed by high-abundance storage proteins. We compared effectiveness Data-Dependent Acquisition (DDA), Data-Independent (DIA), and BoxCar mass spectrometry techniques to identify two types seeds: High-Oil High-Protein seeds. The results indicate that DIA method, particularly methods, significantly improve detection DDA, offering deeper insights into seed biology. Specifically, BoxCar-based revealed distinct proteomic differences between highlighting more active metabolic processes Additionally, several key were identified annotated as uniquely expressed either or These findings emphasize importance techniques, such BoxCar, deepening our understanding biology supporting breeding strategies nutritional qualities.

Introduction/Objective Soybean is a major source of various nutrients. Increasing demand for soybeans has created considerable impetus exploring the nutritional quality soybeans. We aimed to collect soybean varieties rich in Materials and Methods Metabolite analysis was carried out seed compositions, including protein, phenolics, flavonoids, along with gene expression protein phenolic metabolism-related enzymes 10 accessions collected from different geographical regions. Results Total content ranged 29.7% 35.7%, depending on germplasm accessions. Among them, Vang Ha Giang (VHG) exhibited relatively high content, while Cuc Vo Nhai (CVN) had comparatively low content. Further compounds indicated that were higher cultivars Dau Tuong Den (DTD) CVN, total 37.7 µg g -1 flavonoid 2.1 mg . These results reinforced by levels candidate genes β-conglycinin (7S) glycinin (11S) involving storage, phenylalanine ammonia-lyase 1 ( GmPAL1 ) chalcone synthase 8 GmCHS8) related synthesis, which showed similar correlation. revealed correlated weight but not color, even though significant variations found among genotypes, affected coat color. Furthermore, negative correlation flavonoids demonstrated intricate relationships components. Conclusion Protein alteration seeds subject major-effect-genotypes landrace breeding cultivar selection, genotype variants are relevant Our study provides components offers insight into quality.
